No longer kinda boring! 2+ years

Reviewed: Updated: Played on:Dec 16, 2017 Played the course:2-4 times

Pros:

- you'll likely have the course to yourself
- nice baskets with hole #'s
- basket placement has improved so much- 3 elevated/raised baskets!
- hard to lose a disc
- nice grass fields
- the sign at parking lot has a course map
-course finishes relatively close to hole 1

Cons:

- no cement tee pads
- guessing it's unplayable when school and outdoor sports are in session
- lack of signage- one needs to look at udisc map for the tee pad locations
- tee pads locations are marked by old wooden boards in the ground and difficult to see

Other Thoughts:

I enjoyed Jefferson, but the lack of trees and diversity around the schools make for a somewhat bla round of 9.
Good course for beginners and if they put in some better tee pads and signage I might bump the rating up an entire disc.
There is also a nice little community park and swimming pool with a playground and picnic tables by the parking lot.

* UPDATE AS OF JUNE 1, 2021:
Great changes have been made to Jefferson!! To start, hole one's tee location is now painted with a while stripe on the basketball court. It's not great by any means, but at least one knows where to throw from if they look at the udisc map. Once you make it to hole 4 the fun begins with a hanging basket in the tree. My kids wanted to put at it for 10 minutes. After that, hole 6 now features one of the most raised baskets this side of the Mississippi... totally makes up for how dull the tee shot is. Hole 7 has another elevated basket on a pile of dirt. Then you get to hole 8 which lets you throw off a different pile of dirt. While nothing is fancy, it sure adds a fun element to the round. Another good addition is the adding of holes 11 and 12. These holes are not great, and I didn't see any tee pad markers for 12, but what they do is loop you back to near the start, which I certainly appreciate.
If they could get some concrete tee pads and signs, I'd give this more of a 3.25, but now it's more like a 2.75.
I can hardly believe I'm about to say this, but if you're in the area, I actually recommend a quick stop at Jefferson.
