Pros:
There are 8 relatively new baskets in a church field. The course is abundant with large trees creating obstacles throughout.
There is a tiny bit of elevation and the course utilizes it well with a few baskets perched on the small hills.
Being on a fairly large church, this is a good place for people to be introduced to the sport. The course is also very easily accessible from 290 (if 290 is accessible that is)
Cons:
There are no discernible tee markings or tee signs any where on the course. The baskets are also DB5 baskets, one of the worst on the market. The baskets that were bought have the temporary base on them that were just put into the ground and covered with dirt to "install" them.
The course holds water with deep puddles forming after a moderate rain. I imagine those puddles stay for a while making several of the baskets inaccessible without getting your shoes soaked.
There are only 8 baskets. Not 6, not 9, but 8. I stood in the middle of the course and counted the baskets over and over again trying to find the 9th to no avail. It makes the course feel that much more incomplete.
Other Thoughts:
Here was my hot take of the year: these are the worst placed 8 baskets in all of the Houston area. It has cheap baskets. No real course layout. No tee signs. No markings on the baskets.
Update: B. Schmitz now takes the dubious award of being the worst baskets in Houston, with this course being a close second.
You could potentially play some safari golf, or you could play basket to basket. This is a true course bagging course, and you should only really make the trip out here to play if you are a big course bagger.
