Pros:

- Four baskets (one practice basket and three "holes") in a flat field with essentially no trees or other meaningful obstacle or challenge, unless you count the numerous large thistles that blanket the "course" due to the field not having been mowed super recently. A handful of small saplings have been planted, but don't really impact play at this stage in their growth.
- Lumpy, chewed up, faux turf tee pads. Tee signs. Baskets, including putting practice basket. The "course" makes a loop. It feels like a "course!"
- So short and easy as to be utterly mindless.

Cons:

- For a "family friendly" intro to disc golf, this course does a terrible job on three points: firstly, large thistles everywhere make the field a terrible place for little ones; secondly, boring sad ugly holes that don't draw interest; and open terrain that leads to gusty prairie winds.
- No reason to ever come here except to bag or for field practice, not even worth a quick round on its own merits.

Other Thoughts:

- Disappointing. Some practice areas can be fun, but this one has basically nothing to work with. The thistles and ever present prairie winds have to make this place miserable even for practice.

Pros:

First of all, this course is only three holes. You could create your own tee and play the practice basket as hole number four if you wanted to.

The holes are all incredibly short giving you three Ace opportunities.

The signage in some of the best that I have seen anywhere. From the course map and graphics with throwing technique tips on the mainboard to the next tee indicators on every basket, everything is done beautifully. I would love to see all courses marked as well.

Cons:

Every hole is incredibly short so you definitely aren't going to break out the distance drivers or the big arms.

All the trees are saplings so even if someday there may be obstacles right now every shot is simply straight from the tee to the basket with no obstacles to work around.

The course is in a wide-open field next to the interstate so it was very windy on the day that I played and I imagine it is very windy on most days.

Other Thoughts:

Overall this is a great course for beginners to learn the game. I would definitely bring someone who has never picked up a disc here along with me to teach them the game.

This also makes a great place to practice your short game.
