Nice course for my first full round 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Dec 5, 2016 Played the course:once

Pros:

First, its a very fair course. Doesnt over tax you for super distance. But is not just a push over on every hole either. Presents a nice challenge on most every hole. Good, fun character.

Cons:

Around the tee pads is pretty messy. Puddles at the finishing point of your run up. The pads are a nice rubber but are not on firm ground. They are very wavy. Even though a previous review had said that there were garbage cans on every hole, when i played there were none. You have to be careful once you make the turn because lots of people like to bring their dogs out and let them run around a bit, especially starting at #12..

Other Thoughts:

This course could be dynamic if they take it in the right direction.

Super Nice Flat Course 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Oct 13, 2016 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

The location is amazing, right in the heart of Midtown.
The course is easy to play, dog friendly, and easily birdie-able on most holes.
The grounds are incredibly well maintained.

Cons:

The pads get messy.
The elevation change is a joke. The course is set on what used to be the fairgrounds.
Not many obstacles.
Although there are no water hazards, there are several holes where badly (not very badly) thrown discs can end up in the road.

Other Thoughts:

Nice basic course. It is amazing that they were able to do so much with so little, a few pin and tee locations take advantage of the little elevation change that there is in order to maximize the difficulty.

Libertyland DGC 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Updated: Played on:Aug 24, 2014 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

First of all, a very fun course to play. Good hole variation in terms of distance and in terms of obstacles. Hole 8 is especially fun with the basket sitting on top of a mound. But probably the greatest thing about this course is its location. Set right on top of the Liberty Bowl this course is extremely accessible to those living in Memphis, which is great because most other courses in the area are a good distance away from anyone living (or going to college) in Memphis. Another plus is that there is a trash can at every hole and the course always looks very clean and well maintained.

Cons:

There are currently no tee signs on the course which can be tricky for navigation. Also, some of the tee pads are fairly uneven, which can cause slips or other unwanted distractions on drives.

Other Thoughts:

This really is a great course especially for newer players. The general hole variety while still sticking to mostly open holes is perfect for people just learning how to play. I highly recommend this course to anyone looking to play in Memphis.
Final tip: If navigation is tough, look for the closest trash can and that's probably where the next tee is.
