Great Course and Will Get Better WIth Age 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Jun 30, 2017 Played the course:2-4 times

Pros:

This course is set on the rolling land of a Kentucky State Park. It offers lots of elevation changes and several holes have water hazards in play. There are defined fairways for all holes, and the rough can be very rough. This course requires a variety of shots for both distance and accuracy. It has nine baskets with two tees for each. The tees provide enough of a different look to give the feel of a different hole. There has also recently been a bridge added between hole six and seven.

Cons:

I only list these here because they are not pros. I know this course is a work in progress. Baskets are not your top tier baskets, but they catch fairly well. Turf tee pads are in place. I consider these better than grass, dirt, or rubber and not as good as concrete. A couple spots can still be cleaned up, but that is being worked on. The only spot you have to worry about ball golfers is on the walk from 4 to 5 and it would take an errant shot to get to you there.

Other Thoughts:

This is a nice course as is and with play and getting broken in it will only get better. There are still things that need to happen, but the installer is constantly working on this. When it comes right down to it is another course to play and a good one at that. Appreciate what has went in to getting it installed and remember it is brand new and changing for the better.

Brand new with great future 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Jun 25, 2017 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

Good elevation changes.
Sits on Beautiful land on a state park.
Work in progress ,done mainly by the park manager.
A mixture of shots needed.

Cons:

Not really a con ,but baskets are a cheaper basket ,m.v.p (black hole.)
Pads are turf carpet.
Yes parking is close to 1's fairway ,there's plenty of parking on other side and behind tees.

Other Thoughts:

Turf pads are going to be replaced with concrete later.
A bridge has been installed in place of the blocks.
Course just been put in,so still needs some trimming.

Reply to first review:

1. Agree, handicap basket needs moved out of 1 and 10 fairway.
2. Agree, long walk from 4 to 5 long walk,not 3 to 4.
Long walk from 6 to 7.but think with land available, course turned out great.
3. Disagree, with making only 9 holes, although some tees are close with different looks ,making this 9 shorter with 9 longer on most part turned out great.
Just my opinion, not bashing your review.

Can't wait til this gets broken in and gets concrete pads.
