Long, varied (woods and grass), imaginative layout. It's really tough to get a 2, even on the seemingly easy holes. When there's wind, you better know what you're doing. And the long position for that hole that goes around the corner (near the road) and up the hill is brilliant. The tee-off position in the trees is just spectacular.

I got nothing. it's a brilliant and difficult intermediate course. Shooting below 51 is tough for me.

This was my home course and the 1st course I ever played. I have nothing but high regard for course designers Jim and Kent for how this course was designed. I became an excellent player because of how difficult but fair this course is. I love it.

My first review on this course was on my 3rd ever round of Disc Golf. Now have a few more under my belt!
This is the longer and flatter of 2 courses in this park and uses the outer perimeter of the north part of the park. There is a good use of elevation and many mature trees that the course has been designed around. Several of the holes have multiple tee positions for Red, White and/or Blue Tees. Playing the Blue and/or White tees will make the hole longer in most case but also completely change your line to the hole keeping your game fresh. Not all have concrete tee pads but there is a plan to install at new pads in the park and every hole will have at least have the Red tees with a tee pads. This will end some of the mud and level issues noted in earlier reviews. Thanks go to SDGC and the Park District for pursuing that this year. Over all challenging enough to keep a seasoned player coming back but open enough for new players to be able to play and not have their spirit crushed. Great place to intro people to the game off the Red Tees, and good course so let the better players show their stuff with the White and Blue tees.

The Road, (used by foot and wheeled traffic) can come into play on most holes. But not so much as to interfere with play as long as you have some control and pay attention. There are posts for each hole but no signs for hole information (ie distances, hole positions A or B) There may be a change for that coming but not definite yet. The course is laid out on one big loop, there is about 1/8th mile between Tee 1 and Hole 18 so plan accordingly for a short hike up front or at the end. Also if you only want to get a quick 9 in this might not be your course since # 9 & 10 are about ½ mile from #1 & 18

This is a one of 2 great courses in a great park making it a good destination for someone passing through. It is also good for the local who plays there regularly since you have 2 course to choose from that have multiple tees and pin placement on a majority of holes.

Nice layout around the north end of park. Course includes many trees and has several options to the basket on most holes. My wife and I are relatively new at DG and we both could play this course and enjoy it. Multiple tees allow beginners as well as advanced players to enjoy course. We also liked the more open aspect of this course.

The tees are still being marked and a couple of holes had been redone for an upcoming tournament. But once those are done, this will be an easy course to follow. No tee pads.

Great for beginners from the red tees - more challenging for advanced players from the white and blue tees. Really like having the distance options. My wife and I really had a good time on this course.

18 distinct holes never duplicating the same line.

15 and 16 along the top of the course is what we consider the signature holes on the north course.

1, 2 and 3 were taken from the South Course layout - used to be 15, 16 and 18

When in your in the parking lot the New Blue Tee for # 1 is near the fire hydrant across the street - You are throwing a blind shot over the hill top through the mature trees.

When you are playing #11 at the top of the course, if there are other activities going on in the large field you are throwing across - please use the red tee area behind the backstop up on the right along the access road.

Seemless integration of the park facilities. This course works it way around Hockey, Softball, Cross Country, and several other activities that can crowd other courses.

Good use of various holes. Left. Right. Up. Down. Long. Short. Natural obstacles are noted and often sweared at.

Like how every shot in the bag is needed in order to approach this course.

Dual routes, left routes, right routes - offer balance - Does not favor one hand versus the other.

Par 4 holes are introduced to both courses at Lincoln Park as a result of installing this new course. I'm not talking about sheer distance. I'm talking about legitimate two shot holes that require placement. Not grip it and rip it.

Several do or die putting greens.

Natural Out of Bounds with Park Roads coming into play. No water to jump into and search for lost discs.

You should not lose a disc out here. No brambles or major rough.

Fantastic relationship with the Park District who often will go out of their way to stop what they are doing and let you pass through hucking plastic.
