Much Improved Course 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Nov 30, 2017 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

Benches on 17/18 holes, updated signage, clear OB boundaries, DISCatcher baskets, good for beginner to intermediate.

Cons:

Could use more trash cans, relatively short course, but good use of the land available.

Other Thoughts:

There are two courses at Mazarick Park- this one has newer baskets and signage. It's a short format course, with all holes as par 3 and all 350' and under. Fun and quick course.

Fun course. 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Jun 9, 2016 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

It's a nice course. It offers something for everyone. Great for an experienced player to work on most shots in their bag. But is still easy enough for a beginner to have a fun round with out getting frustrated. Takes advantage of the different elevation and uses smart mandos and on to had a level of technical skill to shoot well. There is also a nice down hill island green on hole 17 that is great for working on that pressure accurate tee shot. Also the course flows well so there isn't a ton of excess walking from one basket to the next tee. This helps speed up play. Also the course now has concrete pads.

Cons:

The biggest con on the course is the baskets. They are older and very beat up, however the park is suppose to be replacing them in the next two months with brand new ones. Also it plays through an active park. So on pretty days you need to be on the look out for walkers on the paths and families on the playground in between hole 6 and hole 10. Only other con would be there isn't really any true distance holes. Longest holes are right at 330-340. The last con would be the course can be hard to navigate at spots if you haven't played there before. Signage is being worked on.

Other Thoughts:

Great course if looking for a quick round or just to get out for a casual round with some friends. Also this course will allow you to work on almost all shots except distance. it is definitely a hidden gem that will surprise you with how fun it is.

Fun pitch n putt 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:May 24, 2015 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

Great use of elevation. Not your typical middle NC course. A quick round of beginner friendly, yet challenging enough to be tough on the big arms making you tone down and shape shots. Uphill, downhill, hyzer, anny, mando's..... has all the shots.

Cons:

This time of year there's lot of people on the walking trails so keep your eyes open!

Other Thoughts:

This course is fairly new and being worked on constantly. Concrete tees and some updated baskets and this would be even better.
