Pros:

(0.594 Rating) Not a good disc golf experience.
- TEE MARKERS - Adequate hole markers at the tees. They show par, distance and number only, but for this style of course they work. The tee markers are white and can be spotted from quite a distance, which helps with the navigation.
- NAVIGATION - Not too difficult with a download of the map and the tee markers as stated above. However, coming here without a map will add an additional 5 to 10 minutes for tee scouting.
- QUICK PLAY - 20 to 30 minutes for a solo player.
- CHAINS - They are in great shape. Unfortunately, a typical comment when I can't much nice to say about course,
- LOCATION - Not even a mile from Brahan Springs DGC. Seriously head there instead, even if you live here.

Cons:

Lots of issues with this course.
- PRIVATE - A community entrance sign reads "No Trespassing, Violators will be Prosecuted." Obviously not the most welcoming sign.
- SAFETY HAZARDS - In my review formula I have a score modifier called multi-use hazards. Level 1 deducts about a tenth of a point from my overall course rating and level 2 deducts twice that. I decided to add a level 3 as the hazards here are insane. Building apartment windows are in play on six holes. Parked cars are in play, along with access roads and sidewalks. Players will have to constantly abbreviate their play to make sure they don't hit anything.
- NATURAL BEAUTY - One of the worst courses I have ever scored. As stated, there are apartment buildings in play several times, and they are in view the entire time. Several of these building look in disrepair. Missing shingles, a mix of painted colors, peeling paint, plywood coverings, etc. The neighboring developments are in sore shape as well. Several trees look dead or are dying. The concrete and asphalt roads and paths look in sad shape. A river does cut along holes (1) and (2), but vegetation blocks the view.
- CHARACTER - Other than really nice baskets, this apartment property course doesn't have any of the typical items seen at an average course. No alt baskets, extra tees or a practice basket. The tees lack shading and only one bench within 30 feet of a teeing area. No course map or community board on site.
- LACK OF CHALLENGE - A rec player who's not concerned with the thought of property damage will probably average below par out here. Only two holes are over 300 feet and shot shaping is not really a requirement. An advanced player living here could easily go 7 down or more from time to time.
- TEES - Bad. They are grass and/or dirt. There's a 4x4 tee line but its laying loose above ground. What a nice tripping hazard.
- UNIQUENESS - Unless a player considers throwing around building unique, the hole variety is pretty bleak. Generally openish shots with fairways widths in the 20 to 50 feet range. There are a couple blind baskets blocked by buildings. No par 4s or 5s. No doglegs, tunnel shots or water in play.
- ELEVATION - There are a couple huge half foot curb drops out here.

Other Thoughts:

There is no reason to ever venture here unless you are trying to play every course in the State of Alabama. If I lived in this complex I'd probably only play holes (7) and (8) as they are the most hazard free shots on the layout. It's funny to note that this is the third course I've scored at the 0.5 level in Alabama, and they are all in the Huntsville area. I have both my other 0.5s (Logan Park and Greenbrier) ranked a hair higher than Mirabeau.
