+ Artificial turf tees separate from golf tee mats, DiscGolfPark baskets with White or Gold bands to differentiate on each hole. Good illustrated signage (although a few are missing)

+ Two practice baskets, small clubhouse with a few discs for sale

+ Special recognition goes to three holes where efforts were made to make the disc golf a bit more interesting: #2 tee placement puts a little more right-to-left bend in the hole (especially when playing the White basket). #4 tee placement brings some trees into play that wouldn't affect you from the ball golf tee area. #8 brings a dramatically leaning tree into play, especially guarding the White basket approach

+ Decent distances - not a short putter-only course

- The middle of the course is a lot of back-and-forth holes across the same valley (that's typical for converted/combined ball golf courses in my experience)

- All holes are pretty much straight shots, to one side of the golf green or the other. Makes for uninteresting disc golf layout: throw short off the tees and you'll often find yourself in a valley throwing uphill

~ The wide open layout means you'll experience a lot of wind. On the day I played, the gusts were 25+ MPH from the South, hard at my back when I started each round and right in my face on the finishing holes. The back part of the course (#5 - #8) is a bit more protected, but any high throws would be blown over

~ Not a lot of difference between the play of the two sets of baskets. Some whites are a bit longer and the baskets are slightly trickier - but #1 and #9 play much easier White than Gold. So, it's a push

~ Greens fee of $6 is pretty cheap. But if you really resent paying to play, you'll probably feel like this course is a ripoff because the disc part is just pasted on to the existing ball golf layout

~ I played during the first half of the Super Bowl, so the course was almost empty. If there are many ball golfers you're going to have a really slow round, on a pretty dull course. So plan accordingly

*Two pin positions at each hole

*There were three holes (3,4,9) that were memorable disc golf holes. They demanded skilled shots off the tee.

*On the gold layout, most of the holes are "driver" holes, and sometimes it's fun to rip a bunch of drives for max distance

This course is the opposite of what a "pay to play" course should be and I was disappointed in my round.

*The course is extremely unsafe, with the disc golf course literally playing the exact same layout as the ball golf course. There were multiple times during the round that I was concerned that I was in harm's way.

*The course is not well maintained nor is it in any way scenic. The park is downright ugly and situated in an industrial area next to busy streets. As someone who ball golfs on occasion, this was by far the worst ball golf course ive ever seen.

*The Pro shop staff offered us a tee time a few minutes prior to a league teeing off. When we arrived they did not seem to be expecting us.

*The pro shop advertises this as an 18 hole course but is really only a 9 hole course with two baskets on each hole.

If I was to assign my rating based on my experience at this course, Id give it a 1.5 or a 2.0.

I think that my experience would have been better if our tee time had not conflicted with league play and if the ball golfers on the course had not skipped around the holes. I think the golf is of decent quality, but I dont believe the course managers are familiar with a lot of the safety and time requirements of disc golf.

The course is open at night, that is the main draw honestly. It's got bright plentiful lights that make it not only possible but easy to play without glow or lit discs.

The tee pads are long and fairly wide ground level turf pads that are very grippy and feel really good underfoot.

There are two sets of baskets one gold and one silver that are different holes on the 9 tees to make it 18. They are a mix of different lengths/difficulties.

A good mix of open and trees as well and plenty of semi natural OB.

The course doesn't play short, but the fairways can easily be crossed with errant shots, and even a couple groups can make it feel crowded.

The fences are tight to some holes as well and you could lose a disc.

The layout isn't perfect but works well enough.

The people were really nice and we had a good time playing under the lights.

Would gladly come back, but it's a not a super great part of town, so be cautious.

Not a very engaging course.
Can be a little bit of a wait working around and waiting for ball golfers.
I wish the pro shop made sandwiches. only food was hotdogs and candy.

It wasn't really that scenic but that's ok, I was there for the sound of the chains. I arrived monday around 10 and it was pretty busy with ball golfers finishing up rounds. We paid our $6 per person and went right out.

The local/regular ball golfers are disc golf savvy and were very helpful. Etiquette was a little confusing as the signs say wait for those ahead to finish but the locals were urging us to tee off while others putted on the green. Maybe they arent used to seeing throws reach the greens.

2 pin positions for every hole makes it an 18 holer but the alternate positions don't change the hole much. Typically just on the other side of a green.

we played 1 rd, and coming from out of town, the discs always fly different here. I was throwing a bit further than usual and only brought a few second string discs with me on the plane. If it wasn't for OB, i would have birdied most holes.
That was pretty much the only challenge of the course.

A very pleasant play and I may go back and play again but this is not a must visit. I can't compare it to the other local courses as this is the only 1 i have played in Vegas.

shares DG course with a ball golf course (which is good and bad. I had 2 people take 2 shots per shot upshot and putt (and more practice putts on # 6 while I was waiting for my upshot. I could of drove into them like the cheeky people they we're, but I waited patiently for them to clear. So when I hit the actual basket on my 2nd shot as I approached the green I tipped my hat and waved to the pretend crowd that was cheering me on. The "ball/stick golfers" pointed to my actions and told me nice shot, man. you can play through). Long story short/ some ball/stick and visa versa might not give the other party their due respect while sharing such a cool environment!

Only 9 holes (though I did talk with the owner and he said a possible expansion could be in the works, because of all the heavy play by the Disc Golfers)

All in all, This was my favorite DG course that I got to play in my recent short stay in Vegas. If I lived in Vegas... I would seek if there was a yearly cost to play this course on a more regular basis.

This course isn't as long as the Wildhorse (ball/stick) golf course could be, but it's lighted and gets an extra bonus points for that and having a decent longer courses available for play.

Sitting alone in a city block on the north side of Las Vegas sits North Las Vegas Disc Golf Park. It's a purpose-built par 3 ball golf course that has two disc golf baskets parked on each ball golf hole. One basket is short, one is long. If you play all 9 holes twice, you'll get your 18 holes in.

When I arrived at dusk, I was surprised to see I was the only golfer on site (either ball golf or disc golf). Apparently the course is pretty new and local players are still checking it out. Being that it was quiet, I got rock star parking right outside the pro shop. I went inside, paid my $6 greens fee and made my way outside. There are two practice baskets to work with directly outside the pro-shop. This was nice because you could putt from one to the other, then turn around and do it again. Once warmed up, it was a short walk up to hole 1.

Most par 3 ball golf/disc golf combo courses I play are pretty short. Not this one. I played to the gold baskets so each hole was just a bit out of reach for me, but it was still fun because I got to really rip my drives.The holes are quite forgiving since you're playing one to one on the ball golf course. Everything was pretty open and wide.

Teepads were artificial turf mats, but I didn't have any issues with slipping or anything like that. Baskets are all fairly new and easy to spot. Using the map, it was quite easy to make my way through the course. Some of the baskets were hidden around corners or behind trees, so that kept the course interesting and made each hole different.

Hole 9/18 offers the backdrop of the Las Vegas strip behind the basket. It was quite a beautiful site.

Here are some highlights of the facility:

6- Fully lighted to play at night (and without the heat!)

The obvious con is just 9 true holes. There are two baskets per teepad, but they are usually just short/far, or left/right. Not too much difference in the layout.

Also the $6 greens fee may seem steep for some. I didn't mind it though, as it was obvious this place needs income to stay in top shape.

Some of the ball golf bunkers weren't clearly defined. So if you were to play them as OB like you should, you could get easily confused because the sand appeared to spill over the edges quite a bit.

I couldn't find the gold basket on 5... but it was probably user error. I ended up playing to the basket on 8 instead.

All in all, this is a SOLID course. I was quite impressed and would easily play this again when I come back to Vegas. It would be quite a treat to play this with a group. You could play 9 holes at dusk, come inside the shop for a snack, then go back out and play the remaining 9 under the lights. Park in the lot on Brooks Ave, then walk in to the pro shop. Have fun!

Fully LIT course on PAR 3 Golf Course. Great staff helped retrieve some discs from trees my newb friends threw. Great night time view of LV strip. Nice holes with good signage, trash cans, and bench seating. Best part is dollar beers

Great place to take new players. Cheap beers easily make up for the green fees

-Play at night under the lights and out of the heat.
-Nice baskets.
-Pro shop with discs, food, drinks, and beer.
-Apparently they will deliver beer or food to you on the course, although I did not utilize this.
-Like most course, the locals were cool and helpful.
-Fun, thought out holes with two baskets per hole to create 18 unique holes.
-Garbages and benches at every tee.

-Fairly long. No holes below 300 feet.
-Sprinklers kick on certain days, although it makes the course cooler which can be a Pro.
-A couple dark spots, but I had a few shanked drives and managed to leave with all of my discs.
-If they are not busy they will close early.

I had an absolute blast playing this course. If you are in the Vegas area and haven't played dg under lights, definitely try this out. The course is a touch long, with no real ace runnable holes unless you have a big arm. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, but it's nice to have one hole to take a poke at. This does not ruin this at all though as I ended up playing two rounds here. Play a round on one set of baskets and switch to the other after you get done with 9 to play a fun 18. Try it out, you won't be disappointed.

- Only 6PM-10PM makes the course crowded on Fri, Sat, Sun
- $6 fee to play is for one round. (I pay it gladly)

This is the best course in Las Vegas. No people to avoid. No homeless, no soccer practice.

If you are visiting Las Vegas, play this course. It is worth your time.

Plays on a well manicured ball golf course. There are a lot lights for night golf (I played in the middle of summer where it was 112 during the day. It was very refreshingto play after dark). Multiple baskets (white and gold) that allow the course to be played 2x from the same 9 tee boxes, but for 18 different holes. Great turf tee pads that keep the aesthetics of the golf course. OB if you land on the ball golf greens, sand traps not considered OB.

Low traffic due to green fee ($6). Discs on sight (Innova, Discmania, Trilogy). Since it is a municipality, no tax on discs, so cheaper than most places. Pro shop also sells food, candy and drinks.

A few dark spots where it may be hard to find discs at night if you don't keep it in the fairway. A few holes play close together, and currently no mandos protect players on other holes, but nothing too dangerous if everyone is paying attention. Not everyone likes green fee ($6) but I felt it was worth it.

Disc golfers are able to go from 6:00pm to 10:00pm Tuesday - Friday. The last tee time is 8:30, so you need to be checked in at the pro shop by then. On Wednesday you can play all day. Doubles on Sunday night at 6:00 ($6 green fee, $6 doubles)

I didn't know the schedule when I showed up on a Tuesday morning, and the guy working the desk, Eric, was really helpful, even though he didn't know a lot about disc golf. He said sometimes you can still play during the day if the ball golf side is slow. I will play this course every time I come to Vegas. I hope they are able to expand to 18 holes, while maintaining the awesomeness that is the current 9 hole.

- Turf tee-pads (ultra grippy, even in the rain)
- Challenging course with a good amount of long, tight, unforgiving fairways
- Pay to play so no park goers in the fairways
- It's lit at night for some awesome night golf
- Friendly staff with very affordable drink/food options

My only con is that it's not open to disc gofers all day (at this time).

It's great to finally have a pay to play in town. The rest of our courses are in city and residential parks that can be very frustrating with park goers everywhere.

-pads were great and turf should hopefully hold up nicely
-signs at all pads with nice accurate maps for each hole.
-great use of elevation which is rare for many courses in the area
-variety of shots needed to avoid OB areas
-course open late to allow for some rounds to be played after the sun goes down on hot summer days.

First off all these "cons" are nit picky and will more than likely be addressed as this was day 1 of the course being open.

-Few holes could be adapted to not be close to errant drives from other tee pads. (Hole 18 white)
-arrows on the baskets point back down the fairway not to next pin. (It's not hard to find the next pad anyway)
-no numbers on the baskets

This is from opening day and I had a great time. The Staff at the course were all excited about the new course and also the sport in general. They have a pro shop in the clubhouse with a decent selection. Plans to expand the shop are also in the works.

Corse plays great and look forward to the community support getting some more excellent courses in the valley.
