Intermediate level course set in a park behind a church in suburban Indianapolis. Will be challenging for beginners with the tall grass, trees, and pond. More set towards intermediate players.

Signs - Billboard at the start of the course. Signs at each hole have a map, distance, par, next hole, as well as details on what counts as OB on each hole. Posts have the hole numbers on the side so you can see which hole they belong to if the sign is not facing the same way.

Baskets - 19 Purple Prodigy Baskets that caught great. Purple is the color of Brownsburg's High School teams which was a nice touch. 18 holes + practice.

Tees - Tees were mulch. Easy to spot. Hole 14 had a gravel tee and hole 16's tee was not completely finished yet (set to be a platform style tee on top of a small hill). They were not slick at all.

Variety - Holes varied from 150 to 390 feet. The longer holes had a well defined fairway with tall grass on each side. The shorter holes were usually blind shots from tall grass or a tunnel shot (14). Each hole here was unique and had something as a challenge. 4 holes play either over or near a pond. Holes 4 and 5 are over the corner of a pond. There were a few wooded holes or holes that had trees guarding the basket. One of the baskets had a baseball batting cage guarding it. There were a few blind shots due to trees or tall grass. Looks simple from the outside but has several technical shots with accuracy required unless you enjoy spending time looking for discs. Blind shots on 4, 6, 11, and 13.

Most holes had benches near the tee 1-5, 7, 9-11, 14, 15, and 18.

Trash can near hole 1 and 13.

Easy to navigate. Could typically see the next tee from the previous basket. There were wooden signs below the basket pointing to the next tee. In addition to that, where there was tall grass, there was a path leading to the next tee.

Easy to get to. About 5 minutes from the highway. One turn gets you to the parking lot.

Only course in the area. Brownsburg was in need of a course and this fills the gap.

Several food and drink options nearby either fast food or grocery stores.

Not exactly complete, meaning, it could be groomed a little more. Some tees had weeds growing in them, the rough was rouuuuuugh, hole 14 was mostly overgrown, and hole 16's tee is not set yet. I'm giving it the benefit of a doubt because its new.

A few next hole signs would be nice since there were a few path options in tall grass (10 to 11, 14 to 15).

After a rain, the course could be unplayable with soggy ground (think Sahm after it rains).

To get to the basket of hole 5, you have to walk along fairway of hole 6. Could be a danger if course is busy.

Poison Ivy throughout course - 5 & 6 along pond, 8 along the tree line, as well as 14 and 15 along the tree line.

Not many nearby options within a short drive. Avon and Northwestway are reasonable distances.

Alternate tees (could be mulch) would do wonders for this course.

This course was a great addition to Indianapolis. Although not necessarily a destination course, holes in Indianapolis with water hazards are a plus. If it is too easy, there are more challenging courses in Indy. If it is too hard, play 1-4, 7, 8, 9, 17, and 18.

I spoke to someone who was running the ace race who mentioned tees were hopefully getting added in the fall (concrete?). That would be a nice finishing touch to the course, especially on 16. I would like to see concrete tees (at least 1 per hole), alternate tees (could be natural), as well as a little more cleaning up. That would raise the enjoyment factor of the course.

I would recommend this course to anyone in Indy. I live in Castleton but work in Brownsburg, so I'll definitely be back. It was a change of pace for the usual holes within the metropolitan Indy area. It is worth checking out. If you are passing through along 74, its a quick stop, takes about an hour to play.
