Pros:
+Brand new baskets to replace the 'rusty chains' that used to be here.
+Dual tees that are large and cement.
+Course now skirts the park and uses better land around the edges instead of being too close to the middle of the park and campers, playgrounds, etc
+A sweet island hole (actually a peninsula) with a tree for a bridge.
+A good mix of trees and slightly more open holes. Most holes have some trees but none have too many.
+River for a water hazard on 2 holes.
+The course makes you throw different shots to score well. You need both control and distance.
+Hole length varies a lot. Hole 2 and 8 are legit par 4's and other holes like 3 and 6 are shorter ace runs with some obstacles.
+Signage to come
+The flow is pretty good. There is a little walk between 4 and 5 and then a shorter but still potentially confusing walk between 5 and 6. After 4, follow the baseball field towards the woods on the left and you will find the tee. After 5, find the tees near the pond aiming onto the island.
+Great use of the land. I wouldn't have thought that you could put this fun of a course in this park.
+Still a few ace runs despite the length.
+Practice basket near first tee.
+Adequate parking lot, many other things to do in park including playground, small zoo, waterpark, picnic tables, sand volleyball, ball fields, and there are many bathrooms. You can also camp at the park if you want to.
Cons:
-It is pretty easy to lose a disc in the river, especially on hole 8. The island hole is also a potential disc eater. One person on my card at the first league at this course threw 2 in the water on the same hole.
-No signage yet.
-The road is right next to holes 7 and 8 and many good lines go right over the road. Be aware of cars and pedestrians.
Other Thoughts:
+This course is a must play 9 holer. It is much more challenging than most 9 hole courses in the area between the distance, trees, and water.
+This course had a very high fun factor for me.
+Leagues are Sundays at 6PM. 5 dollar entry + 1 for ace pool. Adv and Int divisions.
+I may update this review to a 3.5 depending on how the course looks when it is %100 done and worked in a little bit. Signs, kiosk at start, some branch removal, etc will help make this course even better.
