This was once the world's best 5-hole course. It has spacious concrete tees, two per hole, with good baskets. The design is great, featuring two moderately long par-3s working open to closed then vice-versa, a really cool par-4 traveling into the woods, and then a couple of technical par-3s to close it out. Any of these holes would be comfortable on 3.5-4.0 rated course. There are even bathrooms on site, for what that's worth.

Keyword in the above paragraph is "once". Pittard is now in a state of severe disrepair. (1), (2), and (5) are the only playable holes, as the other baskets are missing. Overgrowth is severe, which doesn't affect gameplay too badly on those holes but would make (3) and (4) unreasonable even if they did have baskets. The overgrowth also makes navigation miserable, as you have to walk through brambles to get to the tees in the woods. Drainage was also a huge issue when I played, with large swaths of the woods a muddy wasteland (and that wasn't the case at the other two courses I played that day).

Also, even if it were pristine, Pittard is very small. Five holes is just enough to whet the appetite, and it would take 4 times through to make a normal course length.

I wish Pittard would get some love, as it has five really good holes. Maybe I wish even more, though, that these 5 holes could be transported elsewhere to start a 4.0 course. Oh well. As is, I wouldn't recommend visiting unless you're a local, and if you're dedicated to walking the whole course as an avid bagger, bring shoes for mud and clothes for brambles.
