Porter-Boone Park is a medium sized city park in the town of Aumsville. This section of the park has a nice play area, a couple of tennis court and a large picnic gazebo. The course (And I use this term loosely here) consist of four rather homely, homemade baskets set around the park. There is no sign and no tee pads. No kiosk or course map. No donation box or benches. No cupholders, no cruise control and no Wi-Fi. One could rightly assume that this is a barebones operation.
If one were to play from basket to basket, the lengths are 220' from the nearest basket to the # 1 basket which is yellow and set in a small wooded area. It's 217' to the second basket which is red. There's somewhat of a fairway for this hole. # 3 is 200' across an open field to the 3rd basket which is blue and then the fourth and final hole is 341' back to where you started and the green basket. Memorize this as there will be a quiz later on.

Besides the uglies, there are a few other cons here.
No signage.
No tee pads.
Only four holes.
The park doesn't come in any color other than green.

There might be some disc golf interest here. However, I saw no signs of any recent play. The good news is they don't have to worry about anyone stealing these baskets. They won't end up in anyone's backyard course. More good news is this is an easy get for course bagging maniacs like myself. Some even better news is I probably won't be returning soon and even if I were to move to Aumsville, I don't see myself frequenting this course. Too bad because Aumsville seems like pleasant little burg.
