Solid College Course 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Jul 11, 2021 Played the course:once

Pros:

+Nicely maintained college campus on the edge of town. Mature trees on most of the course.
+Good distance variation. Some shorter ace-able holes and some that are quite long. Longer than I expected.
+Nice baskets. Those are homemade? Looks like they had good plans and executed well.
+Tees are plenty big, level, and grippy.
+Very nice course map at the beginning and at every hole.
+The course flowed nicely and was easy to follow.
+No losing discs here unless one stays in a tree for awhile.
+Should be friendly to beginners and to more experienced players. Just challenging enough for advanced players but not too rough to beat on the beginners.
+This land isn't ideal for disc golf but Shane did well with what he had to make a fun course.

Cons:

-Overall, the course is a pretty open, park style course.
-Layout is a little weird after you finish hole 6. Just make sure that you walk behind 9's tee if there is anyone playing that hole.
-Longer walk back to Hole 1 after you are done with 9.

Other Thoughts:

-This course was designed well and looks to be taken care of as well. No complaints here. The main reason for the average rating is just the land that it is on. It is a pleasant, relaxing round but not an ideal disc golf setting. I like something with more trees and elevation.
-I would definitely stop here again when I'm in town visiting family. South Park will always be my go to course in Hutch but this one is decent too. Both are better than the 7th Day Adventist Campground on the north end of town. That one sees less traffic and maintenance.
