River Oaks, and Maples, and Walnuts, and Spruce, and Pines, and... 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Updated: Played on:Jun 6, 2021 Played the course:once

Pros:

Plays next to Elk River in Big Lake

Half Wooded and Half Parkstyle

Course Map and a Warm-up Hole

Dual Tees, with Teesigns offered at the Long Pad, and Next Tee Sign around Basket

Newer Mach3s with the Four Band Deep Basket

Park area is Pretty, with the Oldgrowth Trees and Elk River meandering through

7 & 8 are the standout Holes. Playing along the River thru Walnuts, Maples, and Oaks

1 5 9 10 & 11 use the little bit of Hillage that is available

Twelve Holes are definitely more than Nine :D

Cons:

First 6 Holes have Two Concrete Teepads, while the Parkstyle Holes have Two Gravel Tees

Swamp on 4 is God Awful. Don't want to go into that

2 and 3 were overgrown upon my Visit

Little Elevation to use for the Discgolf

Other Thoughts:

Pretty Fun

Good variety of DG

Bicycle Trail goes to Big Lake Beach :)

It's Decent and worth a stop. 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:May 29, 2016 Played the course:once

Pros:

Nice Signage Nice tee signs and directional arrows, Practice basket (And practice tee for about 150' shot at the practice basket), Even if you go into the rough on the first five it's still pretty easy to find.

Cons:

The final seven holes all play very similar. Dirt tees are still soft and already have unlevel spots near the front. Swamp on the right of hole 3 seems like it will flood the fairway in spring and claim a lot of discs

Other Thoughts:

It's a decent clean course, the first five holes each offer a little different challenge and the back 7 provide some challenge with the moderate trees. There is plenty of open space on those holes to pick a number of lines and hit them with relative ease.
