The UDisc map is nearly useless, Where it has hole 9 is nothing, but there is a random basket on the other side of the park. Someone needs to remap this one.

Other Thoughts:
9 baskets in a park, that is all this is. This is a very pretty park and a perfect park for a 9 hole course. but it appears that no one ever plays here at all. Simple markers for tee's would be nice. An updated UDisc map would be cool. Anything would make this a course worth stopped too. right now it is just a mess.
Please, someone take over this course, or if anyone lives nearby, just design a decent little 9 hole course using the 9 baskets and redo the UDisc map.
Would I play here again? Well, if the course was property marked and different than what I played, I would consider it. It is actually a very nice little park, perfect for a 9 hole course.

Pros:
-Brand new Chainstar Baskets
-Technical wooded shots w/ a couple of shots over water.
-Clean, safe park.

-There were no maps or tee markers and baskets are not marked with hole number.
-Course is not maintained. The park is nice, but the course is neglected.
-No benches, trashcans or other amenities.

Other Thoughts:
Most of these holes are either a right dog-leg or straight, tending to favor LHBH or FHRH.

No worn tee pads or tee markers makes for a bad time. I ended up using the description of the course from the previous review and made an educated guess as to where the tees were.
Some holes do still have a stake in the ground or an uprooted sign laying around that give you the general location of the tee.

A Good Basic Course 2+ years drive by

Pros:
All of the holes represent a challenge of one sort or another. Several of the holes are tucked away behind trees or in the corner of the property (with OB tight) or over water. There are two water holes. There are also some elevation changes that add to the challenge. Overall, is is a good basic course.
Cons:
The course is designed for 18 holes. However, to date only 9 are up. This means navigation first time through can be tough in one spot. Will guide you through below. The grass gets pretty high and some of the rough is really rough. There is a drainage ditch that the first two holes cross and it is very thick. There is an iron bride over it in the middle. You will not find vending machines but I believe the bathroom by the concession stand is usable. There are currently no distance markers.
As the course is new, some of the locals are not yet used to it. As there is no designated parking, people sometimes park next to #3 basket.

Other Thoughts:
The course begins on a hill that is across the duck pond from the main park. If you follow the directions given to get to the park, when you get to he end of Roberts St. you will see the number 1 basket. From Roberts St. take a left and enter the park on the dirt road. You will see a mailbox located by the first tee. It has scorecards/maps. Currently, the tees consist of a stick with a laminated sign. The signs contain the hole number for the 18 hole layout and an advertisement.
1 - This hole tees off of a hill, across a ditch, to a basket tucked in the corner of the property, with the road and the property fence row OB. There is about a 25 foot drop to the basket. It plays well to my RHFH style. There is an iron grate bridge in the middle of the ditch, or you can go around on the road or cut through.
2 - The second hole starts in the bottom and plays to a basket on top of the hill you started on. The basket is on a peak that falls off towards you and towards the water, which is on the right side and behind. You can see the levi from the tee. The corner of the pond is about the same distance as the basket so be careful. Also, on your approach, if it starts rolling it will get wet. Once again, the hole plays well for my style as the trees favor a shot that fades to the right. There is an overflow for the pond that you will see to the right, flowing down to the ditch. There is usually not much water in it.
3 - This hole starts on the pond levi right next to the replica of Jesus carrying the cross. It is part of Collins "Christmas in the Park" and is permanent. The hole cuts the corner of the pond to a basket about 20 feet clear of the water. The shot is pretty open and not very long. WARNING - You really don't want a wet disc here, it is a duck pond that does not have flow except for when it rains heavily. I have gone in a few times for discs, but hated it. If you do have to go in for a disc, there is a water faucet by one of the ball fields on your way to the next hole.
4 - This is where the course navigation needs help. From the #3 basket walk between the two ball fields, past the concession stand, and towards the playground on the other side. The next tee, which is actually #12, is located on the right side of the playground behind a big bush. Last time I was there the sign was gone and only the stick remained. The basket is hard to pick out, it is located behind a tree next to the road.
5 - (actually 13) The tee is easy enough to see from the last basket. The shot gives you some options but there is OB all along the right. The basket is in the corner of the property with OB behind and to the right.
6 - (14) This hole plays through the trees back towards the playground. It is hard to see the basket here. As you look from the tee, the basket is towards the left side of the playground. There is no apparent lane through the trees here. If you can get through the trees into the opening you will do well.
7 - (15) This tee is sort of hidden from the last basket. It is behind a large pine tree in the direction of the ball fields. The hole plays back to the road, paralleling the last hole you played. You can see it through a narrow gap. Once again, the trees make this a tough shot for anyone.
8 - (16) Love this hole!!! The tee is downhill from the last basket. The basket is in the open, but protected by a hoard of trees. It plays as a severe dogleg right. For my throwing style it is great.
9 - (17) This tee box is by the pond, back towards the park entrance. The basket is nestled in the trees across the pond. It is easy enough to get across the pond, but the trees surrounding the basket will be a challenge. There is also OB to the right.
As I live in Collins I have played this course numerous times. My best for 9 holes is a 25. The current layout favors a shot that fades to the right. It should be a little more balanced when the rest of the baskets are in.
