New(?) DD Veteran baskets, with most holes having multiple basket locations. Multiple teepads on every hole, with some of them significantly altering the lines available. Course is well-marked and fairly easy to navigate. I played in the snow and most teepads were cleared, but otherwise I can't speak to maintenance because, well, winter. Lots of variety -- unique greens, an elevated basket, plenty of differing hole lengths...no two holes felt the same.

The 14-15-16 loop likely results in a lot of lost discs in the summer; I do not recommend this course to beginners. Also, in current basket layouts holes 12 & 13 throw to the same landing spot. I can see that being dangerous and causing some traffic jams on busy days. Some of the teepads are super short (maybe 6 ft or so) which is not ideal for a good run up.

If you're driving through Lincoln on I-80 and only have time for one round, I'd personally play Roper East. East is more technical and prettier. West is longer and more open with better pads, and also has a short set of tees that are super beginner friendly. It's worth playing both, but if you can only play one it's really just a matter of personal taste and preference. I consider both Roper courses very good overall, although I enjoyed East a little more.

-Baskets and Tee Signs look to have been updated fairly recently. White Veteran Dynamic Discs Baskets with red lettering (for all you Nebraska fans). Tee signs are nicely designed showing distances, basket locations, and the overall map of the hole.

-3 different basket locations and 2 tee pads for each hole. Allows players to come back and play the same course, but have a different feel and give you some different shot selections.

-Speaking of different shot types, there aren't a lot of holes that look the same. There are some wide open, grip it and rip it holes, some fairly tight, have to hit a gap/line type holes, some Par 4's sprinkled in, and some have to hit a landing zone and then throw your second shot to the basket. Makes for good variety.

-Course is fairly flat and easily walk-able. The layout was not hard to follow either (this was my first time playing the course), and the baskets had arrows pointing you to the next tee pad. When you get done with 16, it looks like it's a dead end, but 17's tee pad is to the north of 12's basket. It's not hard to figure out.

-The terrain becomes more difficult if it's recently rained. The course is in a park that can get pretty marshy/swampy if there's been a bunch of rain lately (when I played it, it had rained 4/5 days before that), so bring extra socks/shoes if it's wet.

-Holes 14 15, and 16 play in a circle around a giant marsh that is very intimidating for most players. You also have a fence that runs on the left side of 14 and 15 that separates the park from the highway to the west. 16 has woods and a creek to the left side of the fairway in addition to the marsh on the right. You have to be very accurate off of the tee or you will more than likely lose a disc.

18's Basket A position. From the the blue tee pads, there is almost no way to get inside the circle if you are a RHBH dominant player. The basket is directly north of some tennis courts, and there isn't an angle to get there because there's also a gap you have to hit and low trees so you have to throw a line drive. If you're a lefty or have an awesome righty forehand, you still have to throw a really good shot just to have a circle 2 putt.

13's and 16's basket locations are fairly close to each other, so if the course is a little busy or is hosting a tournament, players will just need to be careful for errant shots.

There are a couple "signature holes". Hole 11 (from the blues) you have to hit a gap over an OB creek and the basket is perched on a nice landscaped tower. Hole 5 is long, open Par 4 where it takes two 350' shots to reach the back basket location if you want a birdie putt.

Overall, this is a good, solid intermediate to advanced course, but beginners can also have some success as well. Will definitely try to come back and play this course and the other course in the park.

There are 2 loops of 9, which is always nice just in case you want to get a quick 9 in.
Tee Pads and Signage were very well kept and very nice. Majority of the pads were long, but there are a few short. Thes shorter pads were placed on shorter holes, where you didn't need a longer run up.
Multiple pins up at every basket, however the extra pins are not the best looking baskets... makes the course look somewhat run down. The main baskets are gorgeous and really make the course POP!

There is not a lot of elevation change, other than a couple on the back 9.

There are a few walks that are little challenging to navigate (3 - 4; 9 - 10 and the area around 12/13)

There is a creek that runs right through the middle.You will play back and fort and there is a good use of the wooded terrain. A lot of shots you start out of the woods and throw in or vice versa

The local club is investing money and care in improving the course.
