Cons:
On a main walking trail
Tight lines
No course guide/map
Poor signage
Flow still being established
Other Thoughts:
A buddy and I made the drive from Anderson because we heard there was a new course here. It took a little to find the course; it wasn't really listed on any road signs. Once we found it, we walked up and noticed the board and were a little taken aback that there wasn't a course map, but we seen the first basket and just went with it. We were at the second tee pad before we realized we had evidently passed the first tee pad, (we assumed it was the big log by the community board...?). We got to the second pad and were a little confused as to where the pad was, but there was a stake with a number on it, so we just made it up on the fly.
There's no "established trail" from the basket to the next tee pad yet with the course being so new; but we managed to figure it out by coming back to the walking trail and following it. The lines are super tight, and it's a short course; you can't really open up and let one rip...
After hole 6, we walked for about 10 minutes looking for hole 7. It wasn't until I tried looking up a course map before we learned that 7,8, and 9 weren't actually holes yet; I would have thought something like that would have been posted on the community board.
With all that being said, I can't say enough that the location is beautiful. It has some potential to be a tough, short course. I know the course is essentially brand new, and there are still some things thay are being worked out. By no means am I trying to knock the effort of the volunteers (which more are needed from my understanding) who tend to the course; I just wanted to leave an honest review.
