Target is actually lower than the tee-pad, but only slightly. Not a good hole to go long on, and best stay to the right. Long tee-pad down to the right of #12's standard tee.
Plays uphill, feels like 300'. Better to end up right of target than left, where you'll be up in the boulders behind an oak. Big rock to trip over in tee-pad.
Plays short and slightly downhill. This hole has been aced more than any other hole on the course I'm willing to bet. I think I counted three different tee-pads for this hole as well all longer, one blind.
Shoot straight. Plays short. Keep your disc low. There are cross winds galore up high. A long tee worth checking out is directly behind #9's standard tee-pad, up the hill. Many a disc have gotten stuck in the power cables over head driving from #9's long tee. Use Caution.
Plays short. Rocky/slippery tee-pad. Bush infront of tee-pad is tall enough to interfere. There is an alternate tee-pad directly to the right of #8's standard tee-pad. Better to end straight to right, avoid going left.
Throw something stable to over stable(for RHBH). If there is wind it will be a headwind. Do Not go right after the first rock outcropping. You'll be forced to putt/approach blind over boulders down the hillside,if you can find your disc. DO aggressively make runs at birdie on this hole. There are boulders behind the target, affectionately named the hamburger(s) to stop your disc should you miss.
Plays uphill and feels long. Watch for disc traffic from #2 and #3. The long tee is worth checking out(directly behind short tee-pad on hill) for a thrill.
