Not good, not bad 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Feb 4, 2021 Played the course:once

Pros:

decent flow to the course

Cons:

Cheapest baskets you can buy
paver tee pads (they can trip you up)

Other Thoughts:

On the north west corner of the church property is a small grove/line of very large old growth trees.

Someone has taken the time to build a decent little 9 hole course on this piece of land at minimum expense.

These are the cheapest baskets you can buy, I had to set one of the baskets back up that had been knocked over and had to hang the chains back on several of the baskets which are starting to rust.

The tee pads are paver stones and while most of them were better than mud, these type of tee pads tend to get uneven and can trip you up.

It is also apparent that only the fairways get mowed. At least in the area that holes 1 and 2 were. If you were off the main fairway, the grass was higher. (I played in February so it was not all that bad but would still hide errant throws)

Now as far as the design of the course. There is not a whole lot you can do here. The course goes around and somewhat though the line of tree's that appear to have once been in the front yard of some homes. Most of the holes on the course are wide open and hardly use the trees. At least until you play hole 9 that is a great finishing hole down what use to be a road.

in general, while the holes are not short as your typical church course would be, the course is not challenging enough for a more seasoned player. It's between a beginner course and a more amateur player course.

Would I play here again? Nope. The course really only had two holes I would consider "good" It does not have a lot to work with either. This should be a course for the youth groups at the church to use. Maybe a good practice area if you live nearby.
