Some People Won't Like This 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Updated: Played on:Oct 20, 2019 Played the course:2-4 times

Pros:

-Good tee boxes
-Good mix of shots required
-Definite test of skill.
-Most water hazard streams are shallow for easy disc retrieval.
- I really like the bag holders on most tees.

Cons:

-No convenient restrooms
-Parking was iffy on Saturday (Lots O' Soccer Moms)
-Confusing flow from goal to tee
-Multiple pin locations, but current location not specified
-Tee signs are old and worn
-Not all tee pads have signage
-One hole had 2 baskets?

Other Thoughts:

This was the very first place I ever saw disc golf goals. I remember seeing them 4 years before I picked up the game, and I thought it would be neat to try. Two years after I started playing, I made it back to give it a shot.

A ton of work has been put into this course. There are multiple tee boxes, multiple pin locations, well worn in. Most of the time that is a good thing. In my opinion, it looks as though the managers of this course may be trying too hard to be elite.

I found navigation to be very confusing, especially if you are playing long tees. Thank goodness I played with a local, or else I would have been lost all day.

The whole course just felt like someone was trying to force a tougher course out what was already a difficult but fair course to begin with. None of it was super hard mind you, but the flow felt forced rather than natural.

Don't get me wrong, it is not all bad. Like I said, it is clear many people care for this course and put a lot of work into it. It is well cared for.

I think hole 17 was my favorite of the day, followed by the other throw over water with the goal on the dam.

I would say it is worth a play with a local, and I am glad I got to see it.

Pretty Good 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Jan 3, 2009 Played the course:2-4 times

Pros:

-Short and Long version of every hole
-Nice use of elevation change
-19th hole makes for a nice "tiebreaker" hole
-technical course that allows players to use a wide array of shots
-the degree of difficullty is underrated

Cons:

-no tee signs
-course can be difficult to navigate for 1st timers
-a couple of the holes are too short from the short position (I jump putted from the tee on two holes)

Other Thoughts:

enjoyed the course from both the long and the short. Its worth the 1hr15min drive once or twice a year. Would play more if I lived closer
