Short 'n easy 2+ years drive by

Pros:

Despite the low rating, I really enjoyed this course for what it is and I'm very glad it's here! My ratings are based on the challenge and design of courses for recreational to advanced level players, so this course suffers on that scale. That said, this is a great place to introduce kids or other new players to the sport. The course is playable with any single disc, including super class or even whatever frisbee is on hand. The design makes for some very fun (albeit short) shots with elevation, trees, canopies, and a variety of shot shapes for such a small plot of land. I think it's fantastic that the church put this course in (and even better that they make it available to the public).

Cons:

The course is very very short. A few holes are basically jump putts and none are longer that an approach shot for an average player. This course isn't designed for more serious throwers, and I really appreciate that the designers made a consistent effort to design a fun and challenging course for very novice players. There isn't a lot of challenge, no length, and errant shots won't be punished at all here.

Other Thoughts:

Stop here for a quick leg stretch on your way into Yosemite, just don't come here expecting to be pushed technically or on length. I recommend playing super class or with just a putter, and this could be a great place to practice your upshots and approaches. I can't say enough how much I enjoyed seeing a philosophy of design that really took into account the players the course was intended for and stuck to that, and my rating should in no way detract from how much of a joy this little course is!

Nice and quiet pitch & putt 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Oct 18, 2018 Played the course:once

Pros:

Good signage, lack of crowds, and an intuitive layout make this a solid beginner and family course.

I would estimate that each hole is roughly 140' or less, mostly in the 80' range.

If you come, make sure to expect a short pitch and putt course or you will (obviously) be disappointed. For a pitch n putt it's not bad, there's a decent amount of elevation and some utilization of trees for a short course.

Cons:

I understand it's designed to be a beginner and family friendly course, but it would be nice if some more creative shots were required (a lot of really cool elevation and possible tunnels/obvious doglegs that are not utilized at all). If an alternate "pro" set of tees were installed this could be a really great course.
