Pros:
I've yet to play the longs, but the fact that they exist is a good thing for those who don't have a pool noodle for an arm like me and want to bomb some shots. The shorts are by no means all that short compared to a lot of courses in the area I've played, which means it's a good challenge for all levels. The variance between holes is great too: Uphill, downhill, wooded, open, tunnels, guarded baskets. It's in a public park so it's free and very accessible.
Cons:
- Lost/damaged or missing signage.
- A lot of garbage (especially in the spring).
- In the spring, the 2nd/7th/8th/9th holes can all be flooded by the river.
- It's a public park so you have all walks of life, so sometimes people just stand right by a basket talking on their cell phones, oblivious to the fact that you're playing out of your mind and need to keep the birdie train rolling.
Other Thoughts:
This course uses large swaths of a park that were essentially not used at all. No matter the conditions/people/garbage it's still a great course to go out and chuck!
