Pros:
Good use of rolling terrain. Mix of long and short holes. Good mix of left and right approaches. Unique basket placement up in a tree on 14. Small creek comes into play on several holes. Mostly open, but uses large trees to full advantage. Feels safe being on a college campus. All tees marked with post and number. Well maintained as part of a campus.
Cons:
Most cons come from being a course in development which should get worked out over time. Dirt tee pads, numbers on baskets do not always correspond to the actual hole number (reused baskets from 9 hole arrangement.) Layout is not obvious in a few places for first timers - specifically hole 11 plays across the creek and up a hill, not to the basket by the creek which is actually 12. A couple of long walks to get to the next tee... Mainly 13 to 14 where you have to go the other side of a building.
Other Thoughts:
Overall, good course. I've played this course many times in the 9 hole arrangement when in town visiting family...was glad to see it grow into a full course. For my first time on the new layout, I shot a 56 and 53 which is pretty typical for me. Will definitely improve if they get tee pads and a bit of signage to help the uninitiated. Glad to see them use the full space.
