Pros:
Summer trails at alpine valley is a nice course if you like a mix of wooded tight shots, and long wide open bombers. The first few holes take you up the ski slope which eventually lead you to hole 4, a 405ft downhill shot. After hole 4 you swing back up hill with home 5 which is 555ft up and to the right. The remaining holes make their way across the hill to where 17 and 18 head back down toward the pro shop. For what the course offers now, $5 daily admission with a nice selection of discs in the pro shop, I recommend it and look forward to what the course will improve upon in the future.
Cons:
With how steep this course is, it's not very cart friendly. The steepness could be an issue for people with mobility issues. The tee pads are a tad short in some spots with dirt and other soft unstable ground in front and behind, so if you have a run up like James Conrad you will run into issues. Some parts of the ground can be wet and rough at times, I've been close to rolling my ankle a few times, especially on 17 and 18, they are on the steepest parts of the hill.
Other Thoughts:
The course has a Facebook group where the groundskeepers and employees of Alpine Valley actively acknowledge feedback, the course has a lot of potential. Leagues and tournaments are also starting to occur this month.
