Great use of an empty lot, but... 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Jun 21, 2020 Played the course:once

Pros:

- Great makeover for a vacant lot
- The nautical theme was a nice touch
- Tees are well marked but there's no information
- Natural tees were a good choice here.

Cons:

- Poor condition.
- Safety can be a problem with too many groups
- Trash...1st Tee looks like it has a dumping issue
- Hot and dusty lot = hot and dusty DG course
- No navigation. DGCR map is accurate though.

Other Thoughts:

Playing here really makes me rethink all these vacant lots I see in industrial areas. Kudos to whoever put this in. Grab a midrange and a putter, and you're ready.

According to maps, the brewery is temporarily closed. Maintenance is needed throughout the course. Feels very "trashy".

Navigation was tough. Since the course is short, and baskets share a small space, we often didn't know which basket we were throwing to. A walkthrough of the course beforehand would have been helpful.

I would really like to play this course again and give it an updated review if the brewery reopens and the course is restored. It's a quirky little layout that looks like it could be a fun time but currently, it feels like a neglected amusement park.

Nice Short 9 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Apr 23, 2017 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

This course is a nice short 9 with additional Tee Boxes to call it 18. But it's 9 Baskets with 18 Tee Boxes. The baskets are brand new Prodigy, they are solid. I don't think you would need more than a mid-range or a putter. A creative set-up. I think this is a fun course and a good time killer.

Cons:

The 18 Tee Boxes make this a real cluster-fuck on a busy day. It should be just 9. The zig-zagging around will make this dangerous. On a flat piece of property. zero elevation changes. I'm not a fan of the gimmicks, just use the land to the best of your abilities. This place is a muddy mess after any sort of weather. Next to busy roads. Trash.

Other Thoughts:

I left the course hoping for more. It's nice if you need to squeeze a quick round. I wouldn't travel much for this course. On a flat piece of property. zero elevation changes.
