Nice scenic and maintained wooded course drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Jun 5, 2023 Played the course:once

Pros:

Well maintained and marked. Nice shade and like the challenges that a wooded course has. Grounds clean and grass mowed. Most holes are a good distance but not excessive for beginners.

Cons:

Only possible con I can see is if heavy rains, some parts may have puddles

Must play course in Broward county drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Feb 17, 2023 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

- good parking
- nice and shady course
- great mixture of holes
- very scenic
- three sets of tee pads makes the course playable for all levels
- lots of fun

Cons:

Parts of the course will flood during the rainy season. Mosquitoes can also be pretty bad in the summer.

Other Thoughts:

The course is a nice compliment to the much more open course at Tradewinds. Playing both makes for a great day of disc golf.

2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Feb 10, 2022 Played the course:once

Pros:

This course personifies the ideal combination between challenging and fun.

The variety of shots you get to throw is terrific.

This course was clearly brilliantly designed.

Visually stunning-the palm trees, so many hues of green and wildlife give this course an extra special vibe.

Course rewards proficient technical players.

Multiple tees for each hole, and I like that there's only one basket on each hole to avoid confusion.

Cons:

Bathrooms and garbage are not nearly as accessible compared to Tradewinds.

Water comes into play on several holes, make sure you bring discs you can live with losing.

Course could be a little more easily navigable, but not too difficult.

Other Thoughts:

I am very partial to this course because I played exceptionally well for my standards the first time I played here. That being said, if you have to choose between throwing Tradewoods vs. Tradewinds, choose Tradewinds every time. It's more fun, birdies are more attainable if you don't have a giant arm, yet you still feel like you've earned them. Unlike Tradewinds, each hole presents its own unique challenge and this course is an absolute must-play for anyone visiting South Florida.

Tradewoods Better than Tradewinds 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Jun 1, 2021 Played the course:once

Pros:

This course is great and I prefer it to the other course on the Tradewinds property (which is called TradeWINDS).
-3 tee pads per hole
-Great signage, very easy to navigate for a first timer
-A little bit of water, but nothing to scare newcomers and intermediate players
-Very clear lines and fairways!! This was a real highlight for me.
-It's free!
-The red tee pads are good for kids and newbies
-Ample parking
-Clean
-Really awesome concrete tee pads for all tees on all holes!
-A good amount of shade. Few bugs. No underbrush problems.
-Some tight and short holes and some bigger par 4s. Good chance to use all the discs in your bag.

Cons:

My rating would be higher if the course was a bit more challenging, if there were 2 pins per hole, or if the red, white, and blue tees had more distinguishing them from each other besides a bit of extra distance.

Other Thoughts:

I've played the TradeWINDS course a bunch of times and I'm not a fan of the wind and the water and the hot sun and lack of shade. It's got too many open holes.

TradeWOODS is a lot better! It improves in all of the aforementioned ways. A new course can be a work in progress -- this course is NOT! The fairways are beautiful and clear. The trees that were left in the fairways are there intentionally and guardian trees are deliberate. There is nothing rough about this new course. The signs and tees and beautiful. These might be the best tees I've ever played on (since they're cement tees for all three tees).

I had a really enjoyable experience and I look forward to playing TradeWOODS again and again. I'll probably still play TradeWINDS occasionally, but TradeWOODS is the course I will look forward to playing when I'm in Coconut Creek.
