-Lots of shot variation. There are big downhill drives, uphill drives, RHBH shots, forehand shots, hyzers, turnovers, hit the gap, big crushers, over valleys and more. Lots of variety makes for different options and more fun. A majority of the holes do not look the same.

-Intermediate to Advanced level distance is pretty challenging (if you're wanting to birdie a lot of holes). Beginners may have a tough time getting birdies, but should still be able to par a lot of holes with good throws.

-The landscape of the Ozarks area gives the course a lot of cool views and fun shots. Teeing off on Hole 18 is almost worth the trip all by itself.

-The big map of the course at the parking was a big help. Pretty accurate depiction of where teepads/baskets where in relation to each other. I referred back to it a lot during my round.

-The biggest problem this course has is if the grass on the course is not maintained. Most fairways were thick, tall grass that made finding discs problematic and time consuming. And, it had rained a decent amount the night before and the temperatures were in the 60's and cloudy, so nothing was dry. The course is on private property, but is open to the public, so I'm not sure who would be the people that maintain the course. If there is regular upkeep, this course would be much more enjoyable to play.

-Navigation while on the course itself was another negative. The course map was helpful in getting from baskets to the next tee pads, but, there were a lot of blind shots from the tee pads that left you guessing as to where the basket actually was. There would have been several shots that I would have chosen to throw something different if I were able to know exactly where the baskets were.
Something that would help this would be more descriptive tee signs. They showed par and distance, but had a very general, vague outline of the hole. If the tee signs had words describing where obstacles were, (trees, creeks, etc.) it would have made choosing the right shot much easier.

-The variation in elevation makes some shots seem way longer/shorter than what they are labeled as. There are some holes that have a big difference in elevation that require more power than if it were flat.

-If temperatures are high, this course would become much more difficult to play just because of the physical demands of the course. Lots of elevation change and the total distance is around 7,700 feet, so it would get pretty challenging during the summer.

-There are some really fun holes on this course. As I stated earlier, Hole 18 is just plain awesome. Tee shot is on top of the ridge, and it's a big downhill slope from there to the basket in the middle of the field below. Take your best maximum distance disc and let it rip. It will most likely fly forever and then some.

-Speaking of forever, Hole 11 is 1119 feet! It's a gentle downhill tee shot and 2nd shot, but your third is throwing way downhill into a flat area where the basket is. Birdie is not out of the question, even though the hole is super long.

-Hole 1 is another downhill par 4 that makes you hit a gap 300 feet down the hill and then doglegs to the right with the fairway lined with a creek on one side and the property fence on the other side. The basket is about 275-300 feet from the opening of the gap.

-I'm giving the course a 3.0 rating. If the course were maintained I would give it at least a 4.0. It's relatively new and off of the beaten path, so there probably haven't been a ton of people that have played it. I think if more people play it, and the owners see more people out there, they may put more effort into keeping it looking better. The picture-esc nature of the course and layout gives it a lot of potential, but it's hard to spend 2 and a half hours playing 1 round by yourself. It's good, but will hopefully become much better!

This course could be one of the best courses in the area.
It has plenty of area to not worry about crossing paths with other players.

This course has potential, HOWEVER when we played it the grass was about knee high.
Lots of ragweed, and thorny weeds to walk through.
After every throw, it would take us 10-15 min of looking to find our disc. Even if we watch where it fell.
It is a beautiful place, but we were very disappointed as we didn't get to finish the course, due to all the time wasted looking for our disc.

I would recommend coming here only if you know its been mowed, or winter or early spring.
Be sure to take a picture of the course map at the trail head. There are no signs to let you know which direction to go after you get done with a hole.

The scenery is great. A long course that lets you throw far. Great elevation changes on almost every hole (Especially hole 18)! It is never busy. They do a decent job mowing the fairways.

The tee signs can get in the way on a few holes. It is kind of in the middle of nowhere. The grass can be a little long depending on the season.

The second best course in SW Missouri.
