Pros:
+Nice big concrete tees. All were textured well and grippy. More than adequate size for the lengths here.
+Nice baskets. All in good condition and caught well.
+Lots of ace runs. Most holes are ace runs for a lot of skill levels.
+The signs look really nice. Professionally done for sure. (See cons for more signage notes)
+The wooded holes were relatively fun and all were fair. Some were tight but that's ok because the holes were all fairly short. They rewarded accuracy without being unfair or luck based.
Cons:
-The rough is really rough in the woods. Could lose a disc in there. Will likely get thicker as the summer goes on.
-Lots of bugs. Will also likely get worse with more rain.
-The signage was not done the same for every hole. Some holes had the sign off to the side, near the front of the tee, as it should be (in my opinion). Other holes had the signs behind the tee and also facing in a direction away from the basket. This made it hard to determine which basket to throw at if you could see multiple. Or even which direction to throw at all. Most of them were common sense but there needs to be a similar standard applied to the whole course.
-The first 7 or 8 holes are extremely open and fairly boring.
-Overall, this course is on the shorter side. Nothing longer than 350 and many in the 140-200 range. Appropriate for a course located next to a school but won't challenge more experience players.
-All but one of the holes were either entirely open or entirely wooded. Would have like to see more holes that played into or out of the woods.
-Quite flat. Very little elevation change here.
-One of the holes plays right next to the road and a few others play pretty close too.
Other Thoughts:
+Navigation was average. Not good enough to be a pro but not bad enough to be a con. A few areas where better next tee signs were needed. A few areas where lots of holes were in the same area and it was confusing which basket was which or which tee was next.
+I think this course was partially or completely on school grounds. That may affect when it is playable. No signs saying that you can't play it during school but should be noted.
+I had driven past this course a few times and saw the woods and hoped for a bit more out of this course. The design was ok but not what I would have done. The wooded holes were ok but could have been longer. The open holes could have been avoided entirely.
+If you are into birding, there are lots of birds here. A few species of Vireo, Blue Jays, Cardinals, Goldfinch, Redstart, and more.
