Other Thoughts:
Waterville, IA hosts a decent DGC along the northern part of this town of just over 100 people. The course winds around the former school, now community center, and the local fire department. A good map at the start and good signage guide you around. Play is mostly open. #1 is kind of a tunnel shot through some trees, #4 is a little blind around the corner of the fire department. #5 is a little narrow, but the payoff is the view from the basket (see pics). #6 is blind and behind the playground. #6, #7 and #9 may be unplayable with any large activity in the park and they do cross fairways. Probably not an issue with the location of Waterville, it's going to be quiet. You are only about 20 minutes from Effigy Mounds Monument, so a quick side trip from some other site seeing in the area would be good. Play is quick with the first and the last holes being the longest at 301' and 300' respectively. Would be happy to have this in any small town. I think I even saw a sign that there are discs to borrow at the community center. Safety issues, only if there are others in the park. A fun little course. I might play again, if in the area.
