Tons of potential on first evaluation of this newer course. 2+ years drive by

Pros:

- Shot Shaping: This course's shining star is in the shot shaping department in my opinion. This is especially true in the later holes. When pulling up to #1 you think this course is going to be a cakewalk. Not the case and #1 is just a great warm up. Large trees with low branches and thick shrubs force lines on many of the holes. Some of this is around the greens making for great basket guarding features.
- Staging Area: This course features a practice basket, course map in nice kiosk, and trash can near the parking area. Parking is limited, but I don't think this course gets too busy.
- Baskets: 18 Discatchers in good shape.
- Signage: Detailed signage at all 18 tees. I'm not sure they will stand up to time though. They seem to be made of water resistant paper on wooden posts. If these were laminated, they would probably last significantly longer. Time shall tell though. More permanent metal signage would be a great addition, however the current signs do the job well for now. Also, there is only signage at the green tees. Adding signage to red tees would be a great addition as well.
- Multiple Tees: All 18 holes feature a green, long tee (6492' total course length) and a red, short tee (4774' total course length). This opens up the course to a larger group of players. Most beginners should have fun on the reds and many of the greens can provide tough/fun shots for more advanced players.
- Elevation: this course is set on a couple rolling hills and features some nice up, down, and cross slope shots.

Cons:

- Tees Pads: All 36 tee pads are totally natural featuring a wooden board to indicate the front of the box. Adding concrete pads to at least one set of the tees would make for a massive improvement to this course. This addition would take this course to an easy 3.0 for me.
- Flow: Overall, the flow can get pretty wonky here. A couple of the main offenders are walking across #8 fairway to get from #2 to #3; walking backward to get to #4 tee; #9 tee is in #13 fairway; and you basically walk backwards on #11 to tee off and walk it again. However, none of this is too much of an issue if you are the only person out there as I was. On a busy day, it could get weird.
- Navigation: The only thing that helps navigation on this course, is the course map at the beginning. Tee signage could use next tee information. Next tee signs on the baskets or dedicated poles would be a major improvement to this course due to the wonky (at times) flow. Until then, if you see a tee that you are close to, try to memorize which number that is so it can make navigation easier later in the round.
- Basket Views: At times, there are multiple baskets in your view from the tee box and sometimes on long fairways. Tee signage helps this but some shrubs blocking the back of some of the baskets from view (from the tees) would help even more.
- Benches: There are a couple benches on this course but none near the tee pads. This would be a great addition in the future.

Other Thoughts:

Not pros or cons:
- Mowing: This is very very important on this course in particular. Depending on the freshness of the mow here, this course could sway from a 2.0 to 3.0 in my ratings. I'd say I played on a slightly above average grass/weed height level. If I pulled up and the grass was high, I would turn around and play somewhere else. If I pulled up and it was a fresh cut throughout the course, I might play 2 rounds (one from each tee set). Time will tell if this is a pro or a con. I have seen pictures of this course with a fresh cut and it makes me envious. Add concrete pads on top of that and I'd put this course as high as 3.5 in the ratings.
- Single Pin Locations: Multiple pin location options are a good addition to any course, particularly for locals. However, multiple tee options on this course help to change up rounds here over time.
