All that underbrush on the right is gone now, so a low skip shot is a great idea. If you have a great RH tommy or LH thumber, there is a window for that option too.
There are gaps both right and left, with the left side a touch more forgiving with shots missing the slot. Poke and hope straight players fair worse. I've seen overhand shots too, but left gap still seems to score better on average.
