Pros:
Zalud Park is a decent sized city park with all the things you'd expect, picnic area, children's play area, ball fields, and a low wetlands area. The disc course consists of nine Discatchers with the yellow band and #'s, randomly placed around the park. There are currently no signs and no tee pads of any kind. Playing it now is just a round of safari.
Someone who cares, be it an individual, a group or best yet, the local disc golf club, needs to schedule an appointment with the park's department person is in charge. Very nicely explain to him/her that the course is not complete the way it is. There are lots of different routes to go with both the signs and tee pads. The easiest and cheapest way to go would be to simply put in a front board for each tee pad. It could be a 4" x 4" or something a little more stout. There are a couple of places where the board could butt right up against the sidewalk using what is already there. Metal house numbers could be screwed onto the board for an easy fix. Remember to emphasize how concerned you are for the safety of all park users. I would nicely suggest that some representatives of the disc golf community (players) be allowed to help with the design as to where the pads will be placed.
Cons:
If you actually get any kind of permanent tees, then have someone with some computer knowledge draw up a map.
This is hardly a course the way it stands now. I need tees to know where to throw from!
I can't speak for the business of the park as I played early on a weekday morning.
Other Thoughts:
With even the most basic of tee pads, this could be a perfectly average little nine hole park disc golf course, just like about 2000 others in the USA. As it lies, it's far below average and frustrating for most golfers.
