[Innova] kc pro aviar vs. dx bb aviar

The kcs are more durable, but in a mold like bb aviars dx lasts a really long time too. They're very similar for throwing, though the dx always felt like it had more glide and more distance potential to me. For putting, they're identical so pick the one that feels better.

Are you absolutely sure? Is there even the slightest possibility that the DX Aviar BB is "just" a BB Aviar with the regular Aviar top and not an Aviar-X with the bulkier top like the KC is?

I'd be interested to hear a justification for this, I really don't believe they fly differently at all within the circle.

Stiffer plastic is good at push putting because there is more radial force being applied during a push putt. When you push putt something softer you will have more deflection, and therefore more undesireable results.

When spin putting softer plastic is more ideal than stiff plastic for grippyness. There is more tangental force than radial force when spin putting over push putting.

Its not about flying different, because they both fly the same in or out of the circle. It's about grip, which is one of the most important factors when putting.

Either way, inside the circle that's an almost meaningless difference. That might be the difference in glide too, though the plastic difference could do that too.

Well they flew similar today. But there is 35mph wind so today wasn't good for experimenting. The reason I asked is because I have a stack of pro and dx. I favor dx for wet conditions, but l like the feel of the kc pro. So I was hoping to use both without to much adjustment.

If that's your main question, you can go back and forth between those with very little adjustment at all as long as they both feel good in your hand. The amount of wear on them is going to make more of a difference in this case.

The feel of a disc is definitely a huge factor, even if the flight is the same those two tops feel very different.

part is how the plastic molds up.

how old is your kc and aviar? they could be different molds. check the tooling.

I ink all the more recent dx bb ones have had the x top, it's only the older ones that should be different.

My dx bb flies pretty much just like my KC Pros. The only difference is the dx is a little grippier. My dx also seems a little more overstable than my Kc's but this could be due to the fact that it is brand new. :)
