new from Yikun disc golf the YAO. http://www.yikunsports.com/en/yao.html

I just received my Yao from China and have only thrown it for an hour so my impressions will change as i get more time with it. Yikun gives the Yao a speed rating of 4 which i would agree with.The numbers I would give it right now is 4 0 0 3. it is very much drone like with a powerful fade of 3 with no glide or turn and. instantly in the bag!
the plastic reminds me very much of discrafts Z plastic, and like the z drone expect big skips on hard surfaces. If this comes in the dragon line plastic(very much like lat 64 gold line) it will be a killer!!!

No bead. Very hornet looking and feeling.

It will take the place of my moonshine glow truth stamped verdict which flies straighter with a hard fade 2.5. where as the Yao very much reminds me allot of the discraft drone which I lost and was trying to replace with the verdict.

After more testing side by side with my verdict i can definitively say The YAO is more stable and a touch shorter than the verdict. I would love this disc in there Dragon plastic (lat64 goldline like) it would beat into something very interesting. Great disc!

Feel of a hornet with the stability of a drone. 100%. It's a sick hyzer, forced flex mid. Beadless, fast and gallons of high speed stability. Not to mention the plastic feels great. The Yao to me is going to be a front runner in the already crowded, OS mid category simply bc it is truly OS.

The Yao has already got PDGA approval. More discs will be sent before 2014 for PDGA approval. Enjoy the flying, guys!

from just some reviews, it seems like the Tiger baseline plastic is very brittle. You guys might want to make all of your plastics a bit more durable if you want any success with golfers.

We haven't sent all the disc models, and all the discs will be designed according to PDGA's technical standards.

Thank you. The basic Tiger line is generally developed for beginners or 'less powered' golfers, giving them a disc golfing experience at a much lower cost. Most of the Yikun golf discs will be manufactured in our premium plastic lines which are durable with good grip (Phoenix, Dragon and Tortoise).

yes they are for beginners, but you have to remember that base line plastics are also used by professionals as well. In my opinion, this is what made Innova the best company out there, good baseline plastic. Just look at their most popular molds, the roc and aviar.

Good plastic in general is what will set you apart, but that's up to you to decide.
