Drives Fading RIGHT All of the Sudden

I throw bh/rh ... I throw a 175 DX Valkyrie.

Now for the majority of my time playing I've had a wicked hyzer. I've tried different discs to go with and against this "strength" of my throws and settled on the Valk. After having the same issue this morning with a Star T-Rex I knew I had a problem that needs to be addressed and fixed.

However, in the last two weeks or so I've had issues with my disc fading way right off the release and never hyzering back towards the left. I've been told that I am probably throwing it harder then when I started or flicking my wrist harder than I was when I started.

Any advice how to correct this issue? new disc?

maybe you have increased your Distance, i would try throwing your discs on a slight hyzer, might take a couple of practices to get it to work again

If you are developing a better consistent form, that disc might be too understable for your power. The viking or possibly a beast might yield better results.

I think that might be some of the issue, since I started rolling it slightly to get rid of sharp hyzer when I started ... it was making "s" curve but now it doesnt come back left it stays drifting right

as Locuno1 said, give us the distance with the disc you are throwing. T-Rex's are pretty easy to turn over imo but they should fade back with enough distance. Make sure when you are releasing, your wrist is not rolled over, that it is straight. Also make sure you are releasing at the right place, pointing toward your target. If you release late, it may cause rolling of your wrist. If you are just overpowering the disc, then start the disc off at a hyzer.

I'm willing to bet that you are rolling your wrist over.

Work on pulling straight across your chest, it's easy to get in the habit of bringing the disc around in an arc rather than a straight line. Also make sure that as you release your thumb stays pointing upward, rather than rolling your wrist so your palm is up.

i'm thinkin its a dx disc... its just "beat in" now, it'll be alot flippier than a new one, specially a new one in champ or star plastic

I've been having this same problem. I started throwing a pro destroyer to make sure my drives start coming back left.

beware, pro can beat in just like DX. It may not gash as easily as DX, but it still beats in and can actually be more understable right out of the box.

Sounds like either OAT or maybe you are not getting it high enough to give it a chance to come back.

Either way, I suspect you are forcing the nose down a little too much.

i still want to know how far your throwing it to make it turnover. also after a certain distance i would think that it would fade back to it's natural cuvre.

250-300' drives when there isnt something blocking the throw I usually release a little past straight ahead (like 2-3 o'clock) and up into air 0-30 degrees (if releasing arm is perpendicular at 0 degrees)

I havent had a chance to try out any of the advice I've received

This is my main flaw too... the only advice I can give you is STOP TRYING SO HARD... despite playing injured this weekend, it was the same comment from my buddies: damn that throw was awesome, and it looked like you didn't even try...

from the list people have given me... lighten your grip, grip lock will send it right... keep your back straight/disc level (I have a slight tendancy to arch my back, ie anhyzer line.... and also I'm guilty of bringing my arm low to high)... finally, watch your weight transfer.... for me personally, on my bad shots, I can feel my left shoulder coming around wide during my follow through...

hope some of this helps...

hmm don't get me wrong but i don't think that valk should be turning over at 250-300' unless it's really beat in, also i'm going with other things that were said either it's the oat or your rolling your wrist upon release. i have a dx wraith that doesn't turnover at all, but i don't use it anymore since i cant throw 350'+ but my champion viking still doesn't turnover at 300' max. or maybe your just out muscling the driver instead of using good technique and finesse. read this article if you haven't already.

dx discs get beat in waaaay too fast imho. switch to champ or star. might try throwing the disc with lots of hyzer off the snap, but it sounds to me like its time for a new disc.
