2015 Pro Worlds

McBeth made up what, 7 strokes last year in a pretty short amount of time?
It's not over until it's over.
They're human.

That's an absurd comparison. Because ricky got ran down by Paul someone else could run him down? That makes no sense. Paul birdied 23 of the last 24 holes to close last year's worlds.

I'm not saying McBeth is going to lose. I'm saying they're human, and things happen. How hurt is Paul? Ricky is capable of playing on an otherwordly level also.

I wouldn't bet against Paul. No chance. I'm just saying, there's golf left. It's not over.

All I can say is good luck to Ricky.

Did Hokom not show up for the first 2 holes and thus give away any chance that she had?

Apparently, she was in a car accident this morning. She's fine, but the car was totaled. Her trip to the hospital, I believe, delayed her arrival to the course.

Anyone know how Stokely shot a 57 with a triple bogey? The live scoring is missing two holes, but the math doesn't add up unless he went eagle-ace on the last two (missing) holes?

That is terrible for her, best wishes that she is ok.

Yikes! Hoping she is ok. I know after every car wreck I've ever had the next day I was MEGA sore all over from the release of adrenaline. Keep loose and find Crazy's chiro before your round

In happier news New Mexican Ronald Byrd wins the world title for Pro GRAND LEGENDS! I get to play with Ron every once in a while and he attends all of our tournaments. He is 84 years old and is THE MAN! He hikes the mountain courses with no problems. He normally plays intermediate when he's here because as he says "I have to start recruiting the nursing homes for players to find myself a division" He usually is on the top intermediate card. Congrats to Ron!!

Agreed; I really don't see McBeast suddenly loosing all knowledge of the game, but if anyone can capitalize if he returns to his "normal" scores, it would be Ricky. I don't really think Will has a shot, but it's still plausible he could take it if miracles/catastrophes occur. Pretty sure everyone else is out of contention for the win though.

I'd have to disagree. Paul can certainly behave like a human at times (even though he is McBeast), so I don't really see how it's that absurd that Ricky could run him down. Don't forget, Ricky still played lights out last year and lost on a tree kick.

Do we need more reasons for Barsby to be a badass?

I mean, lasting a full minute in an Octagon with Ronda Rousey would certainly cement him as a badass; slaying a dragon would do it as well...

Glad she's alright; I'd certainly say that's a pretty legit excuse for being late to the course...certainly more legit than having your ride leave without you :D

That's terrible. I know rules are rules, but you'd think they could make an exception in such an extreme case and let her replay those first 2 holes.

Cool. I want to be Ronald Byrd when I grow up.

OK, so he didn't finish eagle-ace. Is the 6 on hole 14 an error? He has a pic of his card on FB, but too fuzzy to make out the scores.

I have crap for image editing software but here's the best I can do with a basic sharpen tool... It helps a bit (he's at the bottom of the card).

Looks like his back 9 is 343433243 which combined with a front 9 of 333443422 would make a 57. So yeah, that 6 is an error.

Paul McBeth's "normal" scores are better than anyone else's. The rating proves that. McBeth would have to shoot quite a bit below average and wysocki would have to shoot quite a bit above average. The argument that they are all human I'm not sure is accurate. McChine?

Even given the circumstances, I don't know how good I'd feel about such an exception being made if I were one of the other women in contention. To their credit, supposedly some of the women were pushing for a delayed start so she wouldn't miss any holes. But schedules have to be kept and the rules are there for a reason.

Last year, Cat Allen missed the first hole of a round because she misread the schedule and initially went to the wrong course. She came back from it to win. Sarah had a good size lead entering the round...maybe she can make the ground back up by continuing to play well the rest of the week.
