[Discraft] Crafting Low Scores - Everything Discraft!

I have the stock Luna as my main putter. . CryZtal Luna as my stable thrower.
And i´m trying to beat a first run Luna in as my US throwing putter, but it´s a slow process.

Will a Pro-D Challenger SS or a Soft-X Roach beat in to that nice US turnover putter faster than my Lunas?
Did try a ZFLX Challenger and thats a nice turn out of the box. . but HARD to break that plastic in to a more US flight

Maybe a APX or Reef?

Want that hyzerflip to turnover ( but not insta roller) flight . . .have a beat in Magic in that spot today, which Discraft/DGA putter can beat in to that "beat in Magic" flight?

I'd say your best bet would be to go with a pro-D roach or magnet. Chally/SS will take way too long to beat into that flight. APX haven't been in production for a long time so might be hard to find (especially in Europe).

I use a soft roach for this. Throw it on hyzer with some pop it will flip up a ride to the right. I don't use that shot a ton but I mainly use my soft roach for a hit and sit approaches.

I too would say soft roach. They beat in pretty quickly. Too quickly for my taste but it sounds like what you are looking for. I prefer a truly under stable mold in premium plastic that will keep its line like a Sol or a lid.

Yes looking for something really US
Mirage feels weird in the hand..so do the Spin
Deputy and Magic feels and flies ok when you beat them in

Z Sol feels fine but in the 250ft range it just fly to straight for me..the AR ones is more US but hard to find.
Might try a soft Roach..feels like my Lunas, but softer and easier to beat in

Fund an old APX and Magnet in my storage. .might try them tomorrow but they both feels kind of weird in the hand

yeah they are pretty old school designs, I never really liked the feel of either of them.

The soft x roach could be the direction to go as others have said. I had a brand new soft x challenger recently and it was understable right off the shelf. If you're not committed to Discraft only, a Swan might be a good fit also.

I had a stack of Swans that i won, but gave them away to a beginner. .but i did try one and i like how it flew but the sharp edge on the bottom really bugged me.

Kind of love US discs. . i tested every US mid on the market . .fell in love with the DGA Tremor.
So trying to find a "Slower Tremor" type flight. . and have tried most of the US putters but no "love at first throw" yet

I swear by the APX for straight to easy turnover shots. And as they beat in, it only gets better. Hyzerflip up tunnel shots no problem. It's bascially and shorter and slower comet.

The old elite x's are more domey and tend to be a bit more stable. The new x softs or jawbreakers are great for floaty and controllable approaches.

Hmm i might try a new APX then, the one i have is over 20y old

X Putt'r is a turnover machine out of the box. I currently use a ESP Challenger as my US putter.

But Soft X Putt'r stinks for me as the soft plastic has the disc lose all of the glide it has once the top does the mini concave to the top as the disc breaks in after a number of putts 25-30. I had a first run Soft X Putt'r, made as soon as Soft X came out, very first runs of the Putt'r were in Soft Pro D or regular I forget but were for a single run of about 5,000 or so. The mini concave helps the Putt'r lose so much glide almost all of it that one needed to spin the disc as a putter who uses only spin and no shoving power at all to generate the forward momentum as it is easy to overpower the Soft X Putt'r past the basket on a shove/push putt or a mixed pushing spin putt. Other discs in the Soft X plastic do not do the mini concave but do a micro concave at most so they keep the discs glide the mold has in the Soft X plastic from the begging. I do have a Turnover putter as my main putters, both are a Magnet beat in with Jawbreaker plastic. The Proline Titanic is my neutral Putter as that plastic is an old ESP/modern Titanic like plastic combo that resists breaking in as a putter.

Anyone else see those special runs of steadys up on Marshall street? "Granite" plastic. Looking like crazy tuff jawbreaker but for DGA. Also glow granite aswell. If anyone snags one. Let us know!
