Anyone throwing these? Any idea what Innova mold pieces it uses or what OOP Innova disc it is?

Picked a couple up when they were on sale a couple of weeks ago. I've only thrown them a few times. Really flat, very hard Champ plastic, rim seems a bit wider than a 9 speed typically is, and seem super beefy, especially for my noodlearm.

Comparable to anything else you have thrown? I have been curious about these but don't want to order with out any feedback

Still no feedback on these huh? I read somewhere that they are just flat-topped Firebirds, but Drew Gibson's review says they are between a Sexton Firebird and a Koling Thunderbird. That should be quite a bit less overstable than a flat-topped Firebird.

Loving my swirly s blend so far. I think it's a innova FL because it's has more glide and a tick less fade than a firebird. I like to think this disc as a mini force. Both have workable glide and still has that OS finish.

It feels better than the FL I had, looks a ton like the FD3 I have and they preform very similarly. Also very close to a Raptor in flight.

Just picked up a Color Glow Metal Flake C-Blend. I haven't had a chance to toss it yet, but it's flatter and has a higher PLH than my Marwede Glow Firebird. I can't imagine it being anything but stupid overstable, but we'll see…

Are the newer runs of this more overstable than the old ones? I just got into this mold and have some Gibson Glow and a couple of the newer metal flake glows. Really great overstable fairway. I just don't see how anyone was comparing these to thunderbirds. They are way more overstable than any thunderbird that I've ever seen.

I don't have any of the newest runs, just a couple of the MF color glows from a couple years back. I generally see them as star FB like flights, lower glide than any Thunderbird. Potentially the newer stiff blends would be more OS (swirly s-blend or glow c-blend). I think the regular c-blend had been the most OS from the early runs.

There may be some Thunderbirds that are OS but also with more glide resulting in a similar lateral distance fade further up the fairway. Gibson probably just threw them back to back and the Scepter came up short of the Koling Thunderbird but long of the Sexton FB on BH.

I'm curious about the stability of the recent metal flake glows vs the Gibson color glows.|

The metal flake glow I have is definitely more stable than a Star Firebird.

I picked up a used c-line Scepter recently (thanks Moose!) and wow is this disc everything I've wanted in an overstable utility disc. The Sexton Firebird comparison is spot on-- I was able to pump the Scepter out hard on a flat line and watch it glide straight for most of it's flight before dumping hard at the end. A little more hyzer angle and I could spike it if needed. It's the definition of versatile and I'm excited to play at some more challenging courses with it!

Has anyone here thrown the i-blend? Curious to try another one that has slightly less overstability to compare.

I have two I-blends and they feel and throw like firebirds/raptors to me. Forehand only. They travel very straight then good fade. They feel like stiff/slick star. Really good budget plastic honestly.

I just got an I blend today and I couldn't tell the difference between it and my Raptors that were on top of it in the package. It's hopefully my winter Raptor since I blend wipes dry very well compared to ESP or Z type plastics. I'm liking the comparisons to a Sexton FB or Raptor.

I keep going back and forth between Scepters and Firebirds. Today I finally settled on the Scepter. It sucks there's so few being run and available right now. What has prevented me from completely committing this whole time is that I can't find a c-blend and meanwhile my champion firebirds were so reliable.

Loving the I-blend. Feels like a star & pro blend. It's been a dream to see it start to beat in and straighten up. The mf glow champion are the beefy utility every bag needs. Swirly s-blend is like a fresh Felon. But it feels like I still need a c-blend to truly be confident in the mold for that slot over swirly s-blend.

Has anyone confirmed what mold this is? FD3? Retooled Firebird? Have they been running Dracos, FD3s and Scepters from the same mold this whole time?

All of the above, might be the same Firebird mold piece combination but the Draco/Scepter are run through the flat top machine for processing and the FD3 was not. I have Star & Luster Firebirds that look identical to my FD3s.

I'd say just keep using the champ FBs as the most OS. Flat top processed ones are available pretty often.

For the record, my two I-blend Scepters are definitely not flat. They're pretty much just like stock run firebirds with the dome.

ah, I think the intended mold is flat based on Infinite's description
The Scepter is a flat-top, overstable fairway driver for power throwers or for utility use to get around obstacles on the disc golf course.
Looking at OTB's ratings on their inventory they run the scale from 2-4.

I've seen a few in other people's bags that are FAF flat. I've seen other people describe theirs as Flat. Maybe I got two duds. I have no idea if other I blends are flat or domey. It doesn't bother me, I like them.
