    [Other] Pie Pan Bagger

The wing does look/feel close to a Wizard. The top is much flatter. Close in feel to a P3x from Discmania regarding the top and shoulder. The plastic feels like a hybrid of Innova XT and DX to me. Slightly firm but very grippy. In between Discmania Exo Soft and Hard plastics. My sample size of...

[Innova] TL3 - Evolution of the TL

Not sure how they compare to a TL3 since I have not thrown any. Years ago I threw a domey Star TL at 171 grams that had a controllable turn. It would flip flat from a slight hyzer or turn on a flat throw. This was after being beaten up. When new it was a laser beam that would hold the angle of...

[Question] Besides the Anhyzer Top, Which Mold Piece From Any Company Is The Worst?

The Anhyzer top has never bothered me. While it is unique, I actually like it grip wise. When comparing Thunderbirds to PDs I prefer the feel and flight of the PD. Everyone is different though.

    [Innova] The mythical Innova ROC

The other way to tell is the tooling on the bottom. Rocs have Innova Champion and Rancho Cucamonga on the same line with patent number at the bottom. The Roc3 has Innova Champion with the website at the top. The bottom has Rancho Cucamonga with no patent tooling.

[Discmania] Do people still throw PDs?

I have a good supply of older patent number S-Lines and 3rd run C-Lines. Those are what I usually bag. P-Lines are nearly impossible to find nowadays. I also use a 13th run C-Line in place of a Firebird at times.

[Discmania] Power Driver Freak PEEDEE Thread

First runs were only in yellow. Probably just an earlier S-Line. They had about 3 or 4 runs with patent numbers. I have a blue one with some swirls.

    [Innova] Big Bead DX Aviar

Nowadays they are only made for tournament fundraising or limited releases.

[Putters] Similar to P1/P1x for putting?

The bottom/wing is the same, however, the top is not. The P1X has a P&A Aviar top while the Whale has the Aviar Driver or Aviar X top. I have not thrown a Whale, but it should have a little more dump and less glide than the P1X.

[Question] ID a disc or ask "What is the story on this disc...?" - Take II

DX plastic can vary the same as premium plastics. The stiffness and grip usually changes between runs. I prefer DX to be fairly stiff with a chalky grip.

    [Innova] Premium Aviar Driver

The regular Omega aka Small Bead Aviar is made in Quantum/Champion plastic. The Omega Big Bead is not. It only comes in AP which is like Pro, Super Soft like R-Pro, and ET which is XT by Innova.

    [Millennium] MS Aurora Love?

The older runs fly slower with more float. They are similar in flight to a comet. The 1.8 QMS is slightly overstable compared to most Auroras due to the micro-bead. I had a 1.9 QMS at 172 grams that could turn without too much effort. My 1.9 QMS at 180 has more HSS than the lighter one from the...

[Question] ID a disc or ask "What is the story on this disc...?" - Take II

Yes, the CE-JLS is from the test run and most of them are tie-dye. The majority of the test run discs have slight molding defects. The orange is from the first stock stamp run of CE. It is identified by opaque taffy plastic, the two color stamp and pdga appoved mistake on the stamp.

[Innova] Is this an older/different type of Innova Champion plastic?

This is more than likely not XG. As mentioned, that is mainly only used for special releases or tournament fundraising. Innova does have batches of Champion plastic that end up being gummy. It happens sometimes especially with putters and midranges. I have an Omega and QMS that are quite gummy...

[Question] ID a disc or ask "What is the story on this disc...?" - Take II

That looks like a Teebird to me. It is a CAL mold too.

    [Compare] Same mold different brands?

It makes the nose thicker/blunter. The Millennium Sentinel is supposedly a Cobra with this added, which turns a fairly straight disc into an overstable disc. The Orion LS is another example that is a Sidewinder with the thicker nose. If it's not a nose spacer could it just be a different core...
