Anyone have a pic of a dye on a DX or Pro plastic?

I have dyed on DX and pro. The DX sucks, took 1 hour for a light gray image. I have had good luck on pro Katana's. Steer clear of light weight pro discs, the plastic is gummy and sticks too well to the vinyl, destroyed a disc removing the vinyl on a light TL.

Here is a couple of spin dyes on Pro...........have not done an image on Pro yet. Dye set for about 12 hours.

Jacob2918 has an awesome Tinkerbell Dye he done on a Pink DX Leopard for his girlfriend. It's quite awesome. I don't know if he has a pic, but yeah the dye has to sit for a LONG time.

The blue daredevil is a pro-line Orc and it took really well, the white is a DX gator and it took over hour and a half to dye, and the yellow is zero line spike ( about a DX plastic) took about 40 minutes to dye.

So unless I am missing something, the only drawbacks are that they take a long time to dye and may be faded looking.

Correct, as far as DX/Pro-D plastic is concerned.
IMHO, it only befits dying the better grades of plastic.

Yeah, but it sounds like you just want to dye some discs you already own. In which case, go for it! For any disc purchases in the future that you plan on dying, you should avoid DX and Pro-D. Don't forget to post pics!

I sure wish dye would take better on R-Pro Plastic. I have an R-Pro Dart that I wanna dye a Dodge Dart on, in honor of my wife's muscle car.

Pro Plastic

I've given up on dyeing DX discs but Pros hold dye well. The Mr T. is a Pro Katana and the Snoopy is a Pro Destroyer.
