[Discraft] Are Ace Race prototypes PDGA approved?

I know sometimes discraft makes tweaks to the design of the ace race disc before mass producing. Are the actual ace race discs still approved? Also has anyone thrown this years disc yet? Thoughts? Comparisons?

This year's disc is not approved yet. Every year has been approved though, so far. Approval will probably happen around November.

BTW, there are already two active threads about the AR, and the disc.

Yes they are approved. Almost instantly, well instantly for me because my event is at the end of october..

If the PDGA required reapproval/new approval any time a mold tweak was made, they would have twice their annual budget thanks to Innova alone.
