Basket Lights for Disc Golf

These are temporary lights used just during night golf, they aren't left out on the course all the time. They are very easy to put up and take down. It's a private course, so we are lucky that we can drive a golf cart out onto the course to install them before the round.

When we were putting them on top of the basket they got smashed up, but there hasn't been any issues with them hanging inside the chains loose so that they swing when they get hit.

As the person who put them out on the course and took them off I'd disagree on the easy part. It took me around an hour to put two lights on each basket and a half hour to take them down.

FWIW - these things are so easy to put up/take down, a 5 year old can do it. They come in different colors (which you can use to indicate different things if need be), batteries last a decent while, aren't all very expensive, and provide a nice glow on the basket that can easily be seen from the tee, but not bright enough to distract players.

Available at Home Depot or Cabela's... probably at Walmart, too.

Will they shut off after a while?
I had some like that at first, you would get to the basket a few holes in, and it would be dark.

According to Energizer:
This glow stick has a 1 hour auto-shutoff. If yours isn't staying on that long, please contact our customer support team at 800-383-7323 and they will arrange a replacement for you.
If you arrange one card for each hole in your glow league, it shouldn't be much of an issue, because there's a good chance someone will be playing the hole when it goes out, so they just have to go turn it on again.

Unless your league's particularly large, it'll probably happen once (maybe twice) for each card during the round for each card.

We take two led/watch battery lights and clip them in the "pants hangers" you can find at Walmart and such. You just clip the lights in pointing towards the ground and hang the hanger from the basket. The LEDs are bright enough, and as a bonus they light up a ring on the ground under the basket. Costs about $1-$2 per basket.

Cool looking, cheap, and reusable.
