Three Fine Pro Shops in Cincinnati, Ohio

The disc golfers in Greater Cincinnati, Ohio area are not only blessed with many great courses ( Idlewild, Mt Airy Forest, Lincoln Ridge, Monroe Community Park, Distractions@Hueston Woods, Turtlecreek, Gulley and many more) but also 3 Pro Shops.

The Pro Shop on my home course (Mt Airy Foest) is The Nati Disc Golf (http://www.thenatidiscgolf.com/). This is a well stocked and comfortable shop thankfully located on the course. The owner Fred Salaz is a codesinger of Idlewild and other cousres.

The Pro Shop in Northern Kentucky is Disc N Dat (http://www.discndatonline.com/index.cfm) located between some of the finest courses in the area (Idlewild, Lincoln Ridge and Boone). This also a great shop. The owner Dan Bayless is the Vice President of The Greater Cincinnati Flying Disc Association (GCFDA).

The third Pro Shop in our area is SweeTees Disc Golf (http://www.sweeteesdiscgolf.com/). Another fine addition to our great Pro Shop list. The owner Hank Rodrick is currently working on Distractions@Hueston Woods (a gem in the works).

All three owners are long time supporters of disc golf in our area and across the country. (One could say much more about thses 3 owners but I will try to be brief). They all deserve our support.

Sorry for making this post so long but I am proud of the courses, shops and the outstanding community of disc golfers we are lucky to have here in the Greater Cincinnati, Ohio area. Thanx.

Discovering The World is California's main outlet for plastic. They've been around for some ungodly amount of time...I think 25+ years. I chuckled at DiscNation's banners calling themselves "The Original Disc Golf Superstore"...Discovering The World was "super-storing" when those clowns were in diapers.

Link is in my sig. Hazy Shade takes awesome care of us. They have good selection and they listen to your requests. Jeremy hops on the phone and orders stuff the moment people ask for it. They also match prices from any online shop for me.

iowa/illinois disc golfers already know, but you should check out Iron Lion. chase can get you just about anything you need and is a super nice guy who does a lot to facilitate the growth of dg in the area

Raising Chains DG http://www.raisingchainsdg.com/. This is run by an oldie but goodie and a newbie (been playing for 2.5 years). They got together wanting to promote DG in the Middle Tennessee area and be the best at it. The last tournament they put on the Adv winner got an '01 Roc and baskets for all the other division winner except Pro. They are more mobile since they don't have a shop but have some of the best OOP stuff out there.

Wright Life
The wright life is a great local shop, they do online sales as well, but do not have the selection of the big online shops.

Obviously we all have problems with plastic... Do you know of a local pro shop online that's not really advertised to it's full potential?? Help your Local shop out by posting a link to it! Help the sport!! Help the seller!! Help yourself!!! Help everybody!!!! Ahhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!:clap::hfive:
-Don't forget, a $5 dollar donation to DGCR gets you a crown to sport!!

WCG
You should know -or- know of Bart Zandstra of Channel Z Disc Golf.
He's in (I think) Crown Point, IN., so, should be pretty fast shipping to you in the Chicago burbs.
He has a GREAT online store (below)
Bart's a great guy. Has TONS of fly-dye Discs from J-Bird. The Disc you see is the Disc you get in his store. Plus+++Bart is always willing to help you out where possible. give him a try.

That being said...I don't buy that much online, don't need to.
The Peoria Frisbee Club has its own trailer full of all of the latest and greatest plastic which is kept restocked by our plastic guy Tom "AWESOME" Austin. 3,000 to 5,000 Discs to choose from. He has the trailer at most events within 50 or so miles of Peoria. Doesn't get much better than that.

It's fun to look through the old vintage DG magazines and see which businesses are still around.

From what I understand the "Original" part came in when another site started using the same "Disc Golf SuperStore" tagline. Not necessarily meant to convey that we invented superstoring, in brick or digital realms, moreso to reclaim a yoinked tagline.

Am am am am I a clown? ;)
I do like chuckles!

Austin area guerrilla shopping... always fun to see Moody in the park with his rig, or Shannon's trailer, or a trunk seller, or a blanket seller out at Searight. I used to work at Circle R / Millennium and the pro shop out at Circle R (in its day, of course, not now) was probably the best-stocked shop in a 100-mile radius. Haha, even with fairly large PDGA events going through there, I found gems like Pro Line Leopards (x2) and Pearly Orcs (x30) and 2nd-Run domey Buzzz (x5) just hanging out on the shelves!! I bought 'em all, don't worry.

Oh the gems, the GEMS at that place.

Heres a link to my local "pro shop" disc seller! The reason I put it in quotes, is because his store is actually a "travelling store"! It's all run out of a big white trailer where the side pops out (like a contruction site food vendor!), so he can take his amazing, fully stocked pro shop wherever he wants! It's great because he sponsors, and usually runs all of the local tourneys, and he always has his badass shop setup before and after! He also does the payouts for ams, which is great to be able to pick whatever you want from a giant selection of brand new discs (he carries basically everything made in the world of disc golf)! The guy who owns the shop is named Joel Provencher, he also has a fully stocked, extremely comprehensive online store as well with all the best prices and great shipping options (he has actual pictures, including profile shots of EVERYTHING in stock!). So head on over to "Disc Outfitters" for all of your disc golf needs! I promise you won't be disappointed!

I've seen that guy's setup at Rockburn.

I've always wondered how come travelling stores charge so much for discs.
