Denver Co to Rochester Ny

We are traveling from Denver west through the mountains. We will head north from Rifle Co until we reach Casper Wy. From there we will venture to Mt. Rushmore continuing east until we reach lake Michigan. We will follow the the lake north all the way around the lake then turning east again toward Cleveland. We will then travel to Niagra falls before ending in Rochester. Can you guys give me the names of some must stop courses or just places that would be good to stop at.

What is your skill level and what kind of courses do you enjoy playing most?

The car is a mix of skill levels but we are all use to mountain style courses with distance and technicality. I do not want to limit courses to my preferences because the idea of the trip is to see as many different courses as possible. We plan to play 3 courses per day so we obviously can't every course but would like to try.
