Lat64 Luxury E1 - Modify Top Pocket

Does anyone have any resources or information on how one could potentially widen the top pocket opening?

It's useable, but it's tough to get a large hoodie or more than one disc in/out. Has anyone seen or heard someone modifying the pocket to be larger, and finishing it with Velcro/snaps/or new zipper?

The newer bags have a u shaped zipper much improved
