Marm O. discs

Post the pic of what it looks like now. What's terrible about that photo? Looks good to me :\

sure thing, I'll post it tonight. I have another before and after that I will post as well.

the photo is terrible for technical reasons... dynamic range, contrast is too high, colors are over saturated, white balance was way off (I corrected most of the white balance before posting). I do a ton of photography so I'm pretty hard on myself. I took this photo 5 or 6 years ago just before I got into photography as a hobby.

I'll post the update photos tonight

Well if you are great at photography you got a leg up in Okthrowberfest. A real nice pic goes a long way, especially if you can enhance the colors and do other editing tricks. I just use my phone.

LOL
feel free to send me your submission for a photo... I *might* not throw it :)
I'm sure your photo will be just fine. Phones are phenomenal these days!

as promised...
this is why I don't do dyes as much as I do Sharpies. I really dig crisp, clean lines and my previous attempts at dye jobs don't stay crisp for very long; maybe I did something wrong but I'm very happy with hand sketching and Sharpies.

Star Sidewinder from the same time; this one I'm really bummed about but it doesn't live in my bag so it doesn't bother me as much

one last submission for the day... not Sharpie, not dye... this is the stock stamp for the non-PDGA-legal Gateway Ninja. Anyone remember those? LOL
I actually still like the way this turned out. I wish the disc was legal :(

Okay, so I'm a liar, I'll post one more today.
I was just going through some of my old DG related work and I found this rough logo concept I cranked out for someone. The mafia theme was relevant to the name of his DG disc selling business... it wasn't totally random :) He didn't choose this concept which surprised me. I thought for sure he would go for it

Truly impressive art. I look at any of them and wonder how you can't be happy. Well done and keep up the excellent work.

Truly impressive art...
Thank you very much!

Here is my first attempt at incorporating color Sharpie, not sure how I feel about the stippling effect but I wasn't getting the results I wanted with any of the other techniques I tried :( The pack of Sharpies I bought only had 8 colors so I felt a little hamstrung.

so I spent some time working out a few more issues with my color Sharpie technique... I hope to soon have a disc that I'm proud of. In the meantime, here is a doodle I did tonight. I really should have planned this out before throwing it onto a disc

Thanks for the bump discguy!
Tomorrow I need to fix all my broken links

tonight's piece is a sloth on a DX Roc. The DX blend is waxy and the Sharpie will definitely fall off but I'm fine with that...
