Tight wooded course. Got my technical game on and had no blow ups. Shot a 59 from the whites.

Deer flies are really horrible right now! Think super annoying horse flies on steroids that will not leave you alone. They start on hole 1 and make it hard to throw. A park ranger told me that summer is the worst time for them, and they are worse this year than usual this year. I had strong bug spray on and it didn't help.

Saw 4 snakes, and heard others moving thru the grass, including two next to my disc. Brushed off 3 ticks. Saw no snakes or ticks last year. Keep your eyes peeled.

Most of the short tees are now rutting, making tee shorts difficult. All long tees still play good.
