Off Axis Torque

Way to go Mike. That video is worth a million words of forum explanation.

Yeah, but can't u have oat without a flutter?

I assume you're talking about roll curves and wrist rolls and such on rollers and air bounces, but those are really advanced topics, this is video #1. For the purposes of a beginner video this covers everything you need to know (maintaining your planes is a whole 'nother video!).

People that commonly have a lot of OAT in their shot might not perceive the wobble when they throw because they are under powering overstable drivers for short distances and the wobble bleeds off so quickly it's hard to see. Mike's demo throws are nice because he's forehanding and using slow neutral discs, and those are the learning tools we so often prescribe on here.

Getting better at the vid making, nicely done.

This should get referenced whenever anyone new to the board asks "what is OAT."

I keep wanting to take a picture of a torque wrench laying on the ground next to an MVP Axis .. lol

Another great video Mike.

Nice vid Mike, about time someone made a vid explaining it.

Yeah, but can't u have oat without a flutter?

No, flutter will always be there. The depth of the flutter and how fast it corrects itself to "flat" depends on the type and how "bad" the oat is.

There is always some flutter and some oat. We are not machines, we can not have the perfect release.

But you can have unnoticably little OAT.
