The course is in a "soft open" mode, NOT officially open yet. Still some minor construction going on. And no Course Map sign or Tee Signs out yet. Be careful and be aware that this is the first course in this city and many people in the park may not know what you are doing or be aware of discs.

12/09/17 Anderson disc golf club kicked off our weekly random draw doubles. We will be holding our mini evey Sunday with tee off at 1pm. Sign ups are from 12-12:50 pm. The cost to play is $6 per person, with the option for a $1 ace pot and a $2 50/50 ctp which also includes a disc. Memberships/bag tags will be available for purchase at our weekly doubles for $20.(disc,towel,& bag tag)

Pros: Great course for all skill levels, especially for those who are just learning this GREAT sport. There are a few holes that will challenge your skills in the woods, a few holes that are flat and wide open and then there are a few that are elevated along the levee that will challenge your skills in those windy/breezy conditions. The Anderson Disc Golf Club has worked very hard this year cleaning/clearing and planting new trees to shape the course in the years to come.

Cons: Prone to flooding, No potable/drinking water, Parks department is a little slow at keeping it mowed and when they do mow the fairway grass is still about six inches which eliminates and skip shots. MOSQUITOES are HORRENDOUS. (NOT A CON) This park also has a paved walking/jogging/biking trail/picnic area and boat launch to the river. With all the activity this park sees you would think that the City & Parks Department would try to control the mosquitoes better.
